I was too young to really appreciate the 2000 team even though I watched them. I think this is looking like it might be the best team since then at this point.

Long season of course, and plenty to improve on, and I'm sure they will
Last years team was only ranked 2 spots below that team. Had last years team beat Illinois, it would have been nearly equal results. Houston was a tougher conference opponent than anyone that 1999-00 team faced

Gilbert was no doubt player of the game...but Heise was instrumental in helping get us that win. He came in and put the clamps on Kam Jones.
Heise was a lockdown defender tonight. Made some awesome buckets as well. It looks like he’s still adjusting to the speed of playing against better competition but keeps on improving. As the season goes on I think he will continue to improve and find his way into the second guy off the bench with some big moments.

Jefferson had a quiet 15 and 12. Hopefully sign of things to come. Heise getting more comfortable and Chatfield continues to give solid minutes.

Very worried about Lipseys shoulder and Milan getting only 17 minutes is interesting although it looks like he’s regressed defensively and TJ just not having it.

They took until February to even get ranked and then peaked at like 6 entering the tourney.

Voters must have just really hated that Drake loss.

exposure probably didn't help much either. we were on ESPN plus\CTN for almost all of our games.
