There has been too much made of Iowa State not having PG Keshon Gilbert, as Nate Heise rates as the better player based on his statistics and based on actual plus-minus. The defense isn’t as good without Gilbert but the offense is much better when Gilbert is on the bench. The Cyclones won in a blowout as a Best Bet in round 1 and there is still value backing them here, as my ratings favor ISU by 7.1 points (149.4 total points). Iowa State is a 1-Star Best Bet at -5.5 or less (Opinion at -6).

Offense isn't nearly as turnover-prone without Keshon.

I don’t think they will be able to consistently score on our defense.

I don’t think they will be able to come close to out-rebounding us on either end.

It’s been said many times. We cannot turn the basketball Over and give them easy transition buckets (including wide open threes). I believe that is our biggest worry for losing.
