Is there such a thing as antibiotic and hormone free grain fed beef? I honestly don't know. I just choose to eat grass fed beef as often as possible, grass fed that is also hormone and antibiotic free.

Really? Because I saw a video taken inside Iowa State's vet facility where one of the vet's there said that. I probably also left out e.coli is not a problem in grass fed beef--only in grain fed.

Here is a good Iowa farm offering grass fed beef. They even deliver to me here in Chicago, which is nice. Wallace Farms

Also, cows eating grain causes all sort of nasty problems with the animal, which means the cows from this farm are also given loads of antibiotics and probably other drugs as well. Grass fed cows are much healthier so you typically don't have to medicate them the same.

the 99% number probably isn't too far. Even cows that are pasture fed early on most often are finished with grains Beef fed only grass is fairly rare and is much more expensive--but its the only beef I'll eat for a number of reasons.

Missouri FINALLY wins a BXII title

Are they considered Big XII champs or just Big XII tournament champs like they do it with basketball? Either way, what a terrible, terrible athletic department. they should fire everybody and start over from scratch.

*****The Super, Mega, Huge Big 12 Expansion Thread*****

The "bigger is more stable" argument has already been proven incorrect. 18 mos ago the Big 12 was 12 teams--how did that go? How did the WAC fair when they were 16 teams?

*****The Super, Mega, Huge Big 12 Expansion Thread*****

The biggest we should be is 10, IMHO. Playing every team each year is very important. And FYI, don't think the 9 team league is crazy. A few months back I remember reading an article from a TV rights expert that advocated doing just what the above article states--staying at 9. It also allows...

*****The Super, Mega, Huge Big 12 Expansion Thread*****

My problem is you could make the same argument with respect to different conferences and their TV deals. For example, the MWC network gets a lot less views than the Pac 12 networks will, why is that allowed by the NCAA? The whole system at this point is corrupt and rotten so this whole...

*****The Super, Mega, Huge Big 12 Expansion Thread*****

Incorrect. This thread is full of so much of it it drives me insane. This article was from at least a week or two before the NCAA banned it. Big 12 bosses prohibit Longhorn Network from showing high school events | al.com

*****The Super, Mega, Huge Big 12 Expansion Thread*****

See my earlier post. The ESPN agreed to increase the total payout by 17 or 18 million to keep everybody's pay the same. I still don't know how A&M is going to afford the exit fee though.

*****The Super, Mega, Huge Big 12 Expansion Thread*****

And its obvious the A&M president is comparing this year's forecasted Big 12 money($12 million) with next year's SEC money($17 million). If he was an honest person, he would have compared with Big 12's new deal next year, which Beebe said at the time should be worth more than $20 million a year...

*****The Super, Mega, Huge Big 12 Expansion Thread*****

Why are you guys talking about this? It was announced yesterday that ESPN was only increasing the value of the contract enough so that everybody's payout stays the same after adding an additional team. ESPN isn't dumb enough to sign contracts that don't foresee the possibilities of future...

    Expansion of Jack Trice

With those numbers, I'm not sure how anybody could really argue against the need. We're not talking about adding 30k seats or anything.

    Expansion of Jack Trice

If we are truly averaging more people to games than there are actual seats since 2005, then that is the very definition of needing to expand the permanent seating. Short of a top 10 showdown, I would NEVER pay any amount of money for what are standing room only seats. No thanks. I'm sure...

    Expansion of Jack Trice

My thought is we would have higher attendance if we had more actual seats. Who wants to pay money to not have a seat on a hillside? We have to lose a decent % of possible sales to people just unwilling to not have a seat. So to say we need to completely sell out every game for years isn't...
