    I was agreeing with your point. And I understand that there can only be so many coaches, so something has to give. That said, when was the last time ISU recruited a punter or kicker that was ready to go? The level of players ISU gets in every position will need coaching.

    Am I right to guess that these guys are all wrestling for the right to take on the assumptive starter at the later date? That would make sense with Degen/Parker since Parker is the one moving up to challenge.

    I think Lazard helps get Hutchinson drafted. AL wasn't drafted b/c of doubts about ISU. He has erased those for all who follow.

    Isn't Parker a supersenior? In that context, six years is a long time to stay small. My fear is that he cannot compete with the bigger framed guys that are sucking down to 149. Similarly, moving to 157 would possibly negate Degen's entire game, as his length advantage would dissipate. I'm not...

    Certainly moving Carr to 165 would help in the dual schedule. But I worry it would cost him at nationals. I don’t think Degen places as well at 157, or Parker at 149.
