    #16 Cedar Pointe (Boone) - Tee box near a pond and nest, a bird hovers over your head while you try to tee off. Play there in early spring and late fall when my regular course is closed, hole plays long when there is a north wind.

    There's a new chinese restaurant on the north side of Ames that opened in the Northern Lights area. It's called 888 Restaurant. I really liked it. Their lunch special was $5.59. It includes your main dish with rice and pop. You can choose soup over the drink. Very small, only about 5 tables...
