This is nauseating. I couldn't feel worse for you guys. Still, I think UNC is going down.

Better Coach - Self or Dreamy

There isn't any manipulation, Kansas has had a nearly flawless track record on the hoops side. Turner Gill hurt our football players in the classroom and on the field, but Weis has turned much of the former around. Every player under Self who didn't transfer out or leave for the pros early...

Better Coach - Self or Dreamy

In the classroom, Kansas has achieved an Academic Progress Rate (APR) score of a perfect 1,000 in each of the last six years under Self. In the Bill Self era, Kansas has had 25 Academic All-Big 12 selections, which is best in the conference, and 26 of 27 four-year players at KU have earned their...

Better Coach - Self or Dreamy

-Turned around a putrid Oral Roberts program. Left after an NIT bid. -Took Tulsa to an Elite Eight and 2nd rd game in 3 years. -At Illinois he made an E8, S16 and 2nd rd in 3 years. He whipped Roy's Jayhawks good in the '01 tourney.

Is this another "one and done" Kansas team?

Higgins worked the San Diego St loss, DeRosa worked the VU loss and Whitehead and George worked the CU loss. Those are all "Big 12 refs". I think Higgins has worked most of KU's conference losses the last few years.

Is this another "one and done" Kansas team?

Thomas Robinson's mother lived in DC and suddenly died while he was a sophomore at KU. It was all over the news. She never worked for KU.

Matt Thomas Should Be Starting Over Naz!

I've never cared much about starting lineups. You just give the most minutes to your best players. Especially late in close games.

Want to see a very strange thread?

We do have some dumb fans like Jeff who believe that showing any respect towards another coach other than Self is a crime against nature. Winning does breed far too many idiots. You'd think after suffering through so much misery on the football side that all of our fans would learn to be a...

    Bill Self and Trey Songs

Apparently they're friends even though there's a significant age difference. Mason was a star at the same high school that produced Moses Malone. I had never heard of him before either, but I guess he's really popular with the young ladies. I'd prefer more Olivia Wilde, but it's always fun...

    NBA Scout on Kane

He is easily my favorite non-KU player this year. Even if the NBA is dumb enough to let him slip away he can make a killing over in Europe with one of their top clubs. A point guard who can do it all.

    Conference Season

I'm a huge KU homer, but there's just no way they finish with only 2 conf losses. A team of freshmen against the top RPI conf? They'll take some more lumps.

    This isn't rocket science...

I think the biggest difference lately has been Niang's love affair with the deep ball. I thought ISU was so much better last year and earlier this season when he did his damage inside. (I will say though, as a KU fan, I haven't seen every ISU game.) I realize it's hard to accomplish much in...

    Conference Season

I just can't believe that ISU is going to continue slumping from the perimeter like they have the last two games. I'm still sold on them being able to win or tie the Big 12, and I'm a KU grad. Sometimes all it takes is a little adversity to turn a good team into a great one. I think the Big 12...

    **** Vitale

Mad? I'm just warning you guys. He has praised Allen and taken pictures with fans on numerous occasions. He gave Nick Collison a standing ovation in one of his big games. I don't think he's evil or anything. Just know that after he leaves the building he goes back to his old, annoying habits. He...

Iowa State opens as six point favorite over Kansas

Very true, but things are a little bit different now with Heaps no longer at QB. Weis has finally accepted that bringing in transfer QB who were studs in college but couldn't win jobs at other schools won't work unless you have a loaded OL and great receivers. Cozart is inaccurate, but he can...

    **** Vitale

Vitale is a phony. Enjoy the attention he brings to ISU for a game, but don't believe for a second that he's going to talk about any venue or team other than Cameron, Dean Dome, Coach K or Roy when he rambles on during his other broadcasts this year. Hilton may get a 1 second mention at the end...

    Doc Sadler

I had my doubts about him contributing much to the KU program when they announced his hiring, but he was a huge payoff. Glad to see he's starting out strong in Ames. Really great guy.

Iowa State opens as six point favorite over Kansas

We (KU) haven't won a Big 12 road game since we traveled to Ames in 2008. I'm surprised you guys aren't much bigger favorites. It's not like we're setting the world on fire this year either.

***Official Iowa State vs Michigan Gameday Thread***

Congrats from a KU alumnus. ISU didn't shoot as well as normal and still looked very comfortable against a tough opponent. So many weapons on your squad. The games between KU-ISU-OSU should be intense.
