Not sure who this guy is but he was also offered by Alabama, Baylor, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Miss. St. this week. Pretty sure he is also from Euclid, OH

We are no longer warm on Ty Thompson? That sucks. So far this recruiting class is not very impressive. I don't know much about WR Tristan Michaud so call him a wild card I guess, but the two o-line commits - Bonifas and Sauser - just don't look all that great on tape. Bonifas moves pretty well so if he can bulk up quite a bit then he may be decent, but Sauser doesn't look like an FBS player IMO. Charles Wright looks ok on tape, but that's about it. With some coaching who knows, maybe he will start as a 5th year senior. Or maybe he will never take a snap at ISU.

For this time of year we should be in on a lot more 4 star guys. Looking at the offer list, I am just not seeing any kind of wow factor. I thought the 2020 class was a little lackluster and so far 2021 is looking the same way. The coaches know what they are doing, yeah, but it would be nice to pull in some higher rated recruits. We haven't had a class finish in the top 5 in the conference yet. All four commits have horrible offer lists.

Lets hope we can land Bollers, Enos and Noel. That RB that lists us as warm has some serious offers so he is probably a long shot. Where do we stand with Brody Brecht? If we land him, I wonder if Michaud would move to TE. We have quite a few 6'4" - 6'5" guys already and need more small speedy Tarique Milton types, as well as 6' - 6'2" Pettway types. We NEED two TEs in this class so I could see Michaud potentially making that switch.

EDIT: 247 still has us warm on Ty Thompson.

I agree it’s still early on but there isn’t much indication we are seriously in on many of those next level recruits to take our recruiting beyond what it’s been the last couple years. Even in-state where this seems like one of the deeper and talented classes in years we are already out on a lot in the top half. I’m still holding out hope for guys like Bollers, Thompson, Kalen and Kobe King but those are the level of guys we need to land in higher numbers to be completing for B12 championships like we all want

No offense, but I disagree with this whole post. Our 4 commits are good players; Wright was the top qb for the staff.

The 2020 class was our best ever.

2019 and 2020 feel pretty on par with each other. Wright and the others are good players and could very likely be good contributors but rankings do often show correlation to a teams success and ours has been below that of most other typical top 25 teams.

You are putting way too much emphasis on ratings and offers for almost a year until signing day. Our top 2020 recruit had 0 FBS offers and no rating at this point last year.
