Gotta love the Owners putting out the narrative that there was renewed optimism only to make it look like it was the players' fault this didn't go through today and thinking no one would see what they were doing.
I scratched my baseball itch from 2013-2017 with the Cubs. That was an awesome ride.
I baseball disappeared for 5 years. I would not miss it for 1 second... Unfortunately I think I'm not alone in this

Just a reminder that MiLB does not fall into this so be sure to support your local minor league teams as they really need it after the last couple of years. Obligatory sorry @stormchaser2014
Amazing how the powers that be completely forgot how the public turned their backs on baseball the last time they shut down like this. It took several years and chasing the home run record to get fans to return to the stadiums and watch on tv. Think about how much more there is to do than watch baseball NOW than there was in the 90s. These people are idiots. They're willfully wrecking their sport - again - because they can.
I want to say a couple of things. First, my guy Cal brought a lot of fans back right away with his pursuit of the streak and all I hear about are roided dingers. (Yes that was 'bigger'

Anyway, the loses among wage workers in baseball, the complete loss of spring ball and the fact that this sport is already losing ground big time should have made these two groups of people more willing to be reasonable. Its pathetic. My guess is if I studied the numbers I'd hate the owners more, but whatever. Just go away for a year and see what happens fools.

I honestly like going to minor league games more than mlb games.
I followed the Cubs from 1984-2019. The last two years, I hardly watched any games due to blackouts and Marquee Network, so just followed online highlights. A prolonged lockout may kill it for me.
Mostly agree. I've enjoyed a yearly trip to Wrigley, mostly due to high level play and entertainment before/after the games in their neighborhood/Chicago fun, however inside the stadium, I prefer watching games at I-Cubs and CR Kernels more than Wrigley. I have better beer and food options, more fun activities for my kids, not completely packed with long lines, and usually more fun promotions.
I’m pretty much apathetic about baseball right now and I used to love it. I barely watch a game the last couple of years so I won’t miss it.
