The coaching carousel thread is much easier to keep up with than the transfer portal/NIL thread(s).
I wonder why Jay is retiring? Hmmmm
3X 1st team all PAC-12. 4 year player. Elite playmaker. Good defender. Yeah that guy definitely wouldn’t have been good for the culture.
Or a multi-millionaire who's decided there's more to life and just wants to retire.

When the kid from Westtown (Lively was being recruited) Duke's new coach laid out in spread sheets how much money he could make. The kid laughed at Nova's NIL. Now kids ask that first and now you have to as a coach recruit, coach but also have someone working full time on NIL stuff."
Gets to stay involved in basketball, keeps getting paid, doesnt have to spend all offseason recruiting? Sounds like a win for him.
Certainly not as good as Darius McNeil. I must have missed how elite are programs was from 2018-2021 that we could pass on all-conference P6 performers. Never mind him being Mr. Basketball in Minnesota. No good prospects out of there.
I don't blame some of these big names for getting out. Current landscape is not the college basketball they signed up to coach.
