Orange is solid. Do we have much of a shot with him or are we trailing another school or schools?
I think he is going to take a lot of time with his recruitment and it seems like kind of a mystery as to where he is going to go but I did see he wants to take officials to Ohio State, A&M and Oregon in the Fall.

How many more spots in this class are there to fill in general? How many more recruits should we expect? I also know typically there’s at least 1-2 de commits every year so more spots could open up later this next year.

Probably two for now, in Xavier Townsend and Quaron Adams. That gets them up to the stated 15-18…which already includes some attrition.

Then they’ll reevaluate if anyone leaves before the Fall term starts, and again in December/January when people decide whether they’re coming back or not.

Or…whenever the NCAA decides not to count Super Seniors agains the 85 limit for ‘22.

Is there any word on Hutchinson the S? Saw he’s warm on us, doesn’t have a composite ranking but does have a .85 on 247 sports.

Complete guess, but he may be on hold. I think he may be behind Elijah Davis as well as a take - Davis visited but is listed as Cold to all schools so doesn't show up in any Warm lists. My best guess is that because recruiting has gone so well, they take 19 now and then see where the rest falls out. Townsend and Adams as takes then one of Thomas (DT), Davis (S), or Delaine (CB). Good spot to be in. Davis has a pretty darn good offer list, he'd be my favorite of the three.

I think the 18 number we keep hearing is a fall signing number. I strongly doubt based on the circumstances we have nearly the number of guys choosing to take advantage of the extra year
If we can stay warm on some guys waiting for the 2nd signing period we'll likely end taking as many as 5 more.

When I say circumstances this is strictly the opinion of someone on the outside looking in, but I'm guessing this year's seniors feel tied to this year and last year's teams and will see the conclusion of the most anticipated season in our history as the proper ending to their careers.

This.

Last year a bunch of guys felt (in part) that they had unfinished business. I’m guessing that’s wrapped up for the vast majority of the seniors this Fall.
