So it goes. The lighter weights seem fairly well stocked with promise, and Schon and Greenlee bode well for heavyweight. Rojas will be a great addition but we really need more good news 165-197. Hopefully, Devine, Broderson and Bastida (ability on the mat) will show marked improvement this year and Coleman will take the next step after his surprising Big 12 tournament.

On a side note, most schools have a stud wrestler as their volunteer assistant coach. What is the take on Coach Villaescusa? He did come in at the same time as Yonger Bastida.

I believe he helps with Yonger quite a bit, but I'm assuming his initial reason for coming here was to help with Echemendia. They are both from Sunnyside in AZ. Yonger and Echemendia are good friends as well.

Out of all the recruits Iowa got from Iowa who else besides Riggins was highly sought after? Seems like they got a bunch of room guys in this haul

Totally room/depth guys for the most part. I believe much of their current roster rolls over after this year so they are active there. Nice to haves, not need to haves.

Didn't see this posted, but Flo updated their 2022 Big Board last week. Swiderski at #8, Rojas at #13.

Garvin is at #21, Voelker at #49. Robert Avila from Lisbon is #92, but I haven't heard us being mentioned with him, or vice versa.

Emilio Ysaguirre at #28.

Not a ton of uncommitted top 100 seniors left, but if we can land even one of these guys, that'll be a really good, albeit small recruiting class.

I know he's not on the list, but Tate Naakteboren looked pretty impressive at Super32.

Took home 5th place in a wicked tough national tourney...not sure what year he is in school either, but I'm pretty sure he's scheduled to come visit ISU sometime this semester.
