Wow. So is that likely just a 1 year penalty, or what are we looking at?

If it’s only Paniro, and only 1 year, really not that big of a deal for wrestling.
“For cumulative wagering activities that greatly exceed $800, NCAA reinstatement staff are directed to consider whether additional loss of eligibility, including permanent ineligibility, are appropriate.”

This will be interesting to see what they do to him.

Either 1 of 2 things. These kids getting paid isn’t good when they can’t handle the responsibility of money, or he’s taking bets on for multiple guys on the team through his account.

Paniro, a Big 12 Conference champion at 149 pounds last season, placed wagers totaling $45,640 on approximately 1,283 bets, according to the complaint.
Or he won and was able to place higher bets

I mean, that is a lot of money but that is also a sh!t load of bets wagered.

I’m not able to read the complaint , with Dekkers I believe it has to do with using his mother’s account
Just read the complaint against Paniro. Similar to Dekkers he is accused of placing bets from his phone but under another name (Thesha Freeman) or proxy account, but Paniro is not yet 21 unlike Dekkers
