Paniro got charged. That’s legit. Whether he was placing the bets or not is what is in question. I don’t think he’s going to get banned from the ncaa or anything though.

Good point. He wasn't a student athlete during his greyshirt so NCAA penalties shouldn't apply. So you may just be dealing with the misdemeanor charge.Flo article says punishment may depend on if bets were placed only during his gray shirt year

Reminder that Grice is also facing an aggravated misdemeanor.
I’m not aware of either’s criminal history, but barring some long wrap sheet, anything more than a weekend in jail sounds outrageous.
Guessing they both end up as some sort of community service type plea deal. I think Grice has like a 1 or 2 event suspension, but nothing too major. Paniro's situation scares the hell out of me eligibility wise
If it all went down during his grayshirt the ncaa can't do a whole lot in this situation though right? Or am I reading into it wrong?

Don't get me wrong I love Paniro and think he will be a 3x AA for us. However 149 sounds like we have Swiz and AE able to man that spot at almost if not the same level. If this had happened to say 184 or 197 or HWT we'd be in a really bad spot for next year.
Having said that, I'm hopeful that he will not be penalized at all, but now Tiger has to go and say what he said, and now i'm not as hopeful.

Agree that it would not be a big deal this year. If he’s suspended for good, that would be a big loss 2 or 3 years from now.
So are you not sleeping well because of Paniro issue or the other 4 wrestlers that are being investigated?
