Recipe to shut down Purdy:
- Be at home
- Be a top 3 defense
- Bad weather
- Get pressure on almost every play
- Have 2 of his top offensive weapons leave mid game for injuries
- Have 49ers NFL FG kicker miss a 40 yarder after Purdy drove them into that range in the final minute

Every team will just copy that and Purdy will be working checkout at Walgreens next year. It was a great run while it lasted.

I guess so. A lot of things went wrong in that game that were not ideal for sure.

Brock may be a "system QB" but he's performing at a high freaking level.
You don't do this against high level competition, this young, without working your tail off.

He reminds me of KC version of Alex Smith.

He's much, much better than Alex Smith. Alex Smith couldn't even carry his pads out to the practice field. I watched Alex for years. He couldn't throw down the field with accuracy like Purdy. No way. Purdy is 1,000 times more accurate and better deep ball too. He's a much better QB having watched both on my team. It's not close IMO. Game manager or system is over blown. People want to make excuses. He's a really excellent QB. Look at the overall stats. For the whole year. They don't lie.

Don't forget that everyone on this site is a Purdy fan (except Hawkeye trolls)
