Any chance he would go to another school?
What round is BP getting drafted in today?
Unfortunately, I think this is the answer. I am not sure if Purdy has much of a chance of NFL success, but I also don't know that sticking around does him any favors. If there was any indication that we were willing to make a coaching change on the offensive side of the ball, that could potentially change, but that seems very unlikely at this point. It’s not going to get any better with another season.
Honestly, that's almost better at this point. Unless he really wows at the combine, it's unlikely he will get drafted in the first four rounds. If you're not getting drafted in the first four rounds, it seems like it always works out better for the QBs that go undrafted and get a UDFA deal with a team that runs a system that he will fit nicely with an established QB room that he can provide value to with football IQ and continue to develop under some seasoned veterans/coaches and (hopefully) an established starter. He won't get drafted
He didn't get 1st team either since we're big on clarifications today. There's no draft today
I am very excited about the proimise he's shown - at the same time - its a situation where you don't want to ignore what you've had and what has been accomplished. Can’t wait for the Dekker era.
I’m aware. Tell that to @CyTwins
Lol no. IF Brock were to come back (he's not), he's guaranteed the starting spot. It's dumb to think otherwise. That's like saying if Tom Brady were to go back to New England, Mac Jones should still be the starter.
Hunter was is the best high school QB to ever come out of Iowa. He is more physically talented, and it is possible he will take a couple of those records from Brock.
I assume Purdy gets drafted but if he doesn't I wouldn't be shocked I guess. I'm not sure what his draft outlook looks like and I'm not sure what it has to do with him as a college QBI’m aware. Tell that to @CyTwins
Nate Stanley got drafted. Clearly a qb heads and shoulders above Brock so he has no chance.I assume Purdy gets drafted but if he doesn't I wouldn't be shocked I guess. I'm not sure what his draft outlook looks like and I'm not sure what it has to do with him as a college QB
Supposedly some of the coaching staff wanted to start Dekkers this year. Purdy's experience put him over the edge.
Purdy has developed as much as he can with this staff. If he returned I think he would stagnate.
