Iowa played hard, and was a good test for our guys. Pemsl and Nunge had solid games.

Was real impressed with our freshman. Lindell did Lindell things, Lard fought hard in the post, and Lewis hit some big shots. Good games from Solo and Brase, and excellent leadership from NWB.

Still a work in progress, but we’re headed in the right direction.

Despite a lot of Beverly bashing here over the last week (or at least lack of support), I thought he was useful tonight.

Hit some good shots in the first half to counter Iowa coming out firing.

True but Iowa may not win more than 10 games this year. They are putrid and I was hoping for a double digit win

How awesome is it that we didn't know who our PG was a month ago, and now we have a 6'5" junior who could be All-Big 12?

Jeff did exactly what we need from him; hit shots when the opponent doesn't respect you, rebound, and play solid defense.

Agree, but remember this is Iowa’s biggest game of the year. Guys like Pemsl and Bohannan really get up for this game.

I also think Iowa benefited from playing a couple Big 10 games whereas we’ve played 1 game in the previous 12 days, against NIU.

Yep we played pretty terrible and Iowa attacked the glass like their season was on the line and we still won. When there is such a talent gap between two teams you have a lot more margin for error thankfully

This team doesn't win easy but they keep finding ways to win and keep learning and playing together. I was disappointed how poorly we handled the press but live and learn and get better at it.

Yeah, nothing was more evident than how much more Iowa wanted/needed it than the offensive rebounds they got. Give them credit for great effort. But we’re a lot more talented and can win even when we have an average night and get outplayed.

I hate to admit it, but JBo and Nunge would be nice to have off the bench. Prohm should put out some feelers. We can’t offer a scholarship, but I believe we have walkon spots available and maybe they’ll want to play at the highest level.

Happy for ISU to get the win.

As you could see early, this team will struggle when they aren't knocking down shots (3-13 from deep at half) and when they arent rebounding (gave up 11 offensive boards in first half). Lard picking up two quick fouls certainly didn't help rebounding.

Loved the high-low action from Brase/Lard.

Nunge for Iowa was impressive. He will be a good player.

Wigginton is a stud, and NWB has been insanely good.

It was much easier to defend against Bohannon out front in the 2nd half. When they started running him off baseline screens, he made me nervous. I'd take him on a team as well.

I see progress on the defensive end from Lewis, Lard and Wiggy.

Brase played his best game. I wish I knew if that was because his mobility and fitness are improving. He had a great high-low feed to Lard and they actually ran some sets through him. He also completely failed to block out on a FT, which cost us a possession ...

I think Brase is getting into shape, seems like he's playing for longer stretches than before and elevating more. If Beverly is ever replaced in the starting lineup, I think Brase is the most likely to do so. He was in the game at the end of both halves. Lard is too inconsistent at this point.

Dude is up to 96% on the season now. He may never miss again.

Guessing Iowa 'should' be one(no seniors) ...surely will add a point guard .....or Fran should be on the hot seat.

Technically...no seniors means they aren't adding anyone. But I think they have senior(s).

Also, someone will transfer and open up a scholly.
