Doubled mine this year. Not a big donor but working my way up.I increased my donations by 50%. I hope everyone will consider increasing theirs too, even if only by 10%.
Yes, it is depressing. I am depressed.
But I bring scenarios, not because I disagree with your point about the B10 and P12, but because wishing it happens does not make it happen. There is zero doubt our first desire should be the B10. What if they do not want us? Other than time zone, what do we provide the P12? Do we generate more $ than we cost? I do not know. I just think JP better have plans A, B, C and D. At the right time I trust he will.
This is my fear as well. It could end up being a crushing blow.Bring up all the scenarios you want, but if they don’t involve ISU to the B1G or part of the PAC, then ISU athletics as we know it is done for.
JP would have to make huge cuts….including cutting many sports. We could no longer make any improvements to facilities, etc. We might have to beg the state for funding again, which probably won’t happen.
We’d be in bad shape.
Good read. Thanks for posting. While CBS passed on paying premium for the $EC, I could see them emerging as a player for rights. No offense to the Mountain West, but K State/Iowa State, TCU/Texas Tech Baylor / Oklahoma State matchups are better content for CBS Sports Network than a lot of the matchups that currently air. They could program some damn good football using CBS/CBS SN the same way ABC/ESPN does now.We have an interesting experiment going on...one media company is gradually taking over college FB. They fully "own" (or will in a couple of years) two of the P5 conferences for number of years, a share in 3 other P5 conferences, most of the bowls, and the CFB playoff. It will basically be up to the Big Ten and the Pac-12 to determine if they like the way things are working out. Do they want a media company to be in full control that will sabotage one of its partners to be in control of everything? SEC + ACC will have 32 teams. Big-Ten + Pac-12 + Big 8 have 34.
An interesting website that gives a summary of who holds what sports media rights (pro and college)

I wonder if CBS would have bid higher for SEC games if they had known (like ESPN did) that Texas and Oklahoma were jumping ship?Good read. Thanks for posting. Other than BYU I like it.So listening to KXNO today and a caller I thought had a really good idea...
Big 8 + add Cinnci, Memphis, BYU and San Diego st for all sports
For basketball those 12 teams + Witchita State and Creighton for bball only..
12 team fball and 14 team bball conf.
This would be an unreal bball conf and easily best bball conf and it wouldn't be close..
It would be must watch TV bball conf and could certainly help increase revenue lost on fball side
Not sure. From what I read they weren’t even close to what ESPN was willing to bid. They didn’t try very hard to keep it. Almost feels like they thought $EC was overvalued.I wonder if CBS would have bid higher for SEC games if they had known (like ESPN did) that Texas and Oklahoma were jumping ship?
But would they have thought that it was overvalued if it included TX and OU?Not sure. From what I read they weren’t even close to what ESPN was willing to bid. They didn’t try very hard to keep it. Almost feels like they thought $EC was overvalued.
San Diego St. increases travel cost and will do no where near what Houston would do in tv ratings. UH vs All 4 other 4 Texahoma schools do nicely. SDDU doesn't move the needle versus anyone. So listening to KXNO today and a caller I thought had a really good idea...

We’ll see. Maybe they can join the lawsuit! But would they have thought that it was overvalued if it included TX and OU?
100 percent this. I am bummed to get relegated to AAC 2.0, but will increase my donation to keep Campbell. If I have to pay double for season tickets, I will.I want the outcome that Matt Campbell wants. If it keeps him in Ames, I'm all in.
I agree. Hope YOU can make it happen.Bring up all the scenarios you want, but if they don’t involve ISU to the B1G or part of the PAC, then ISU athletics as we know it is done for.
