What happened to us is similar to what happened to MSU.

Does that mean you think MSU is not a top 15 team? I think they are. I don't think any one game can preclude you from being a top 15 team unless your overall SOS is horrible.

I do not think MSU is playing well enough right now to be a Top 15 team.

Two wins this week with one being against the worst BCS team in the country is not going to improve ranking that much. And Texas at home is an expected win.

I don't think texas at home is an expected win. I think with them have some bigs that are playing pretty well its a horrible match up for us

We'll still finish the regular season right around #12, which is right for this team.

I see us finishing more like 25th. The opportunity to finish around 12 is there though.

Of course, I think we finish 3-3 in our last 6 games. That might put us barely in the "others receiving votes" category.

If we win tomorrow, I might change my tune.

No reason whatsoever for Iowa to be above us

Who care's... We have grinded out some ugly games recently and have areas to improve on going into the tourney. Take care of business and the rankings will work themselves out. As much as some of you want to admit it, Iowa has been playing some pretty consistant solid basketball lately. Cardinal and gold goggles aside, they are a solid team and its hard to really dispute the rankings after getting the doors blown off us in West Virginia.

a loss that we got beat by 30... top 15 teams do not lose by 30.

Except for Villanova, TWICE.

Interesting that ISU/UT is 17 vs. 19. 19 vs. 17. Reminds me of the BU game when it was 7/9, 9/7 or something like that. Let's have another great outing like that BU game!

Riddley parks at the rim. Need to weight him down with some superglue under the rim.

Kansas State destroys Texas, becomes just the second team in the Big 12 to beat KU, loses a road game in double OT, and gets one vote? That's absurd.

I'm pretty sick of seeing these American Athletic teams, too. That conference is pathetic. At least SMU got dropped.

Seems like a fair ranking. In terms of Iowa being ahead of it, it doesn't bother me much. If the poll is meant to be a snapshot of who is playing better right now, I think that's clearly Iowa. Also, in terms of resumes, while we have more quality wins than them, they have better losses. This isn't to say that we really have any bad losses, but I don't think Iowa has any losses outside the Top 25 (feel free to correct me if I am wrong).

Huh? I'm not seeing much of a difference. I can't believe how bent out of shape some of you are getting about giving up that huge lead Saturday. You know what had to happen first for that to take place? We kicked the crap out of TT leading up to that point. They made a run, we held on, end of story. I'm not worried, just get wins.
