Re: A&M to SEC talk heating back up

Without reading this article, if they had an actual invite to the SEC they would already be gone...

SEC West would love a punching bag like A&M for football with Arkansas, LSU, Bama, Auburn, and Miss State all on the upswing.

Not to mention the entire SEC would love to open up the Texas talent pipeline.

But if A&M can make more $$$ by starting up their own network than they can with an equal revenue split of SEC $$$, then there is no way this happens.

Nothing to see here...just another Hawk fan trolling...

From your article:

“I certainly think it’s going to create some reaction from some Aggies who will say, ‘(The heck with) Texas. Let’s do our own deal,’” a prominent, unnamed Aggie told Bohls. “I don’t think Texas is winning friends and influencing people among their Big 12 brethren. As for the SEC, it may be a lot of noise, but I don’t sense a lot of groundswell from the president or athletic director’s office.”

Yeah...sounds like the talk is really heating up...

Your link is nothing more than a rehash of the Bohls article discussed last week.

Can we leave Texas out of a big XII network deal since they already sold their rights? Thats if a network were ever created? I know it would be more attractive with Texas, but who cares, Pretty muchtake what we can get.

hilarious, how most of the fear mongering is being done by hawk fans. If they understood the politics down in texas they'd know there are slim chances of this ever happening. A&M would become the punching bag for the SEC

For the millionth time, they've only sold their rights to 3rd tier football games and non-revenue sports. Their network is only guaranteed ONE football game a year and 8 basketball games. I don't think there would be much of a B12 deal without access to Texas football.

Thank you... Did OP actually read the article or just the headline. It's one guys opinion rehashed again. No real facts all speculation and opinion. I could write an article saying the same thing also with no real facts being behind it. Bohls basically said "things could happen" and pointed to last summer. Wow... Earth breaking news.

Exactly. I can't remember A&M ever winning a non-conference game against a BCS league opponent. They are like 1-9 in bowl games in the past 15 years. They are not ready for the SEC

Exactly. Mods need to delete this thread, or change the thread title, and then ban the OP. The article indicates nothing concrete about any A&M to SEC talks heating up, and the thread is clearly a trolling attempt by the OP.

And boom goes the dynamite...

In other internet news; talk is heating up about ISU going to the Big Ten. A lot of ISU folks are saying to heck with Texas, OU and aTm and have decided ISU belongs in a conference with better revenue sharing and academics.

I think I've seen aTm ranked as high as 5th next year, they should be able to play with about anybody.

Hawk fans have never really been capable of simple math, so they keep clinging to their fading hope that the Big XII will fall apart.

Texas A & M is guaranteed more TV revenue ($20 million) in the Big XII then they can make in the SEC ($17 million).

You would think that even Iowa fans would recognize that a switch would cost them at least $3 million per year, but nothing should surprise me from Crack City.

LOL!

All I did was copy the heading from the article....if your upset, be upset at the author of the article. I'm just posting what I found for god sakes. Calm down.

The author of the article didn't start a thread on CF with a provocative thread title completely unrelated to the content of his post, you did.

Either you were trolling, or simply too ignorant to realize that the article you linked in your post in no way supported the title of your thread. Fail either way...
