If conference realignment seriously hits again the Big East will fall right along with the Big 12. I don't know why people think some Big 12 teams will end up in the Big East. If we have 4-16 team super conferences then the Pac10, Big 10, SEC and ACC will be the only BCS conferences still standing.
The media keeps feeding us this **** to get site visits and sell advertising money. For the billionth time, no one is leaving the Big 12.

That's a good question. This whole thing seems like nothing but rumors but the fact that we lost 2 schools already lets you know that things can happen. I would love for the Big 12 to remain as a 10 team conference forever. I really like the format for both football and basketball. It makes the schedule very tough in football but it should help the recruiting because your Texas players are going to play in Texas twice a year every year. But I heard about the advantages of 4 - 16 team super conferences over a year ago and I could see where this could end up a real possibility. If it happens they would form their own governing body and that would be KU's only real chance of being a school the conferences would be interested in because then they would have their own Basketball Tournament and basketball would gain some value. Right now the NCAA funds their entire operation from the NCAA tourney and that takes a ton of money away from the schools and devalues the basketball schools. Hopefully this will never happen, I really like 10 schools.
