looks like Rondo backed up his talk tonight. Butler and Wade not so much.
You seem a lot more positive about the Bull's coach than the Iowa State coach.....there are probably people with sources within the Bulls that have just as negative opinion on Fred as you do on Prohm. Just something to consider.
Fred hasn't failed in much in his life, so I certainly wouldn't bet against him. But you do realize that this problem has been brewing for the entire 2 years he has been the coach, right? Last year Butler called him out. Last year there was the "disagreement" between him and Noah as to who suggested Noah shouldn't start (it kind of reminded me of how Fred claimed to know nothing about Hines' article bashing the program). This year he hasn't had a clue how to handle Rondo and different players are in his doghouse all of the time.
He seems like a douchebagJimmy Butler post game interview..... WOOF
He is, always has been, and always will be. I wouldn't want him anywhere close to my team. Total cancer. He seems like a douchebag
It would be a little different if he was a legitimate superstar, but he's a B rate star. Dude needs an ego checkHe seems like a douchebag
No doubt about that. Might even be generous. B rate stars don't even go 1-13 from field with 3p and 3toIt would be a little different if he was a legitimate superstar, but he's a B rate star. Dude needs an ego check
The Bulls are dumpster fire right now and Fred has fallen into the same trap that Tim Floyd did where the Bulls front office promised things they could not deliver on. Anyone who follows the Bulls knew that adding Wade and Rondo was putting a square peg in a round hole in a Hoiberg system and it's proven to be just that. For as talented as Butler is, he has never embraced being a leader and it is showing this year. I feel sorry for Fred because the coach is always the scapegoat but if Paxson and Foreman want to save their jobs along with Fred's they gut this team at the trade deadline, tank the rest of the season for a lotto pick and hope they can rebuild on the fly. Easier said and done, the Bulls have struck out in free agency too many times in recent history and even trading away the trade assets they currently have won't net them more than late 1st rounders at best unless Butler goes which would require taking on a high priced player another team doesn't want.
It's easy to feel sorry for Fred but this is the price he will pay for signing a deal with the devil because the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. His tenure with the Bulls is going to end on a sour note whether it be this season or next because I don't see a scenario where the Bulls make the right moves to turn this thing around. What sucks as an ISU fan is that we knew if Fred stayed he had all the resources to build a powerhouse program and cement his legacy but instead he chased the NBA dream that will eventually backfire on him and we'll eventually see him take another college job elsewhere.
The bad part is if Fred gets fired it really puts Coach Prohm in a bad spot because any time we struggle people will be calling to fire him for Fred. I think Steve has done a great job so far and laid a solid foundation for future success with how he has run his program. We all know next season will likely be a rebuilding year with 7 seniors on this year's team but he has more than proven he can compete in recruiting so far and deserves a chance to coach a team of guys he recruited.
how much money would you take to be stressed out beyond belief for a few years?
He is, always has been, and always will be. I wouldn't want him anywhere close to my team. Total cancer.
It's clear on multiple occasions that he has an ego issue and an attitude issue as well. I know a lot of stars do, but his issues are just constant. Always whining about someone else and not himself. He is an all-star selection who's won a lot of games for them and is noted for his constant work ethic. Now, I realize there are plenty of other intangibles besides that.....but where is your opinion coming from? Just curious is all. Have no prior knowledge on Butler or opinion as to his fit with the team.
