0-15 is all I need to know. And I'm a super-stupid Iowa State fan. I'll take Beathard until Sam proves himself.
Fixed that for you

he did have Kansas on his schedule right? I think wins is a terrible argument to use, but that's not a vary good defense to use.
Yes, he went 23-27 for 250 yds and 4 TD against them in 2012, which is more impressive than any start Beathard has ever had.
Seeing some chatter on Hawkeye Lounge and I thought this would be a good discussion from both sides. Who would you rather have: Beathard or Richardson?
Iowa fans are super confident in Beathard despite him throwing more than 10 passes in a game three times.
17/37 245 1 TD 1 INT @ Purdue W 24-10
13/23 145 2 TD 1 INT vs. TENN L 45-28
15/24 211 1 TD 0 INT vs. Ill St. W 31-14
He has a big arm, but he has looked erratic at times. Why are Iowa fans so confident he's better than Richardson? Kinda bizarre.
I don't really know. I do know that I would rather have Rudock back there for Iowa than Beathard. He's just more dangerous. Hopefully ISU can stop the run, get them into passing downs, and then get some pass rush on him.

Thanks, Judoka. Your sensibility is beyond reproach. Heaven forbid somebody has a different opinion than yours.
Not really. He didn't start either of the last two games against Kansas... Rohach didThis is the rare good point in another terrible 0-15 discussion.
Don't forget the rushing TD Sam had in that game as well. He did it all in squashing Blue K State.
Are those the only games he has thrown 10 or more passes or completed them (or both)?

That's true, but not the point of the thread. Thanks for the input.
Hard to judge CJ yet. In times he has played, he has made some absolutely fantastic throws, and some absolutely not fantastic throws. And in week 1, we were winning the ground game enough to not need to heave it much. However, in the first quarter and into the second, when it was still a game, he made some pretty good throws. He has a lightning quick release, a big arm, but still needs to be more accurate. Also, in the ISU game, he had a lot of passes, esp. in the late 2nd q, where he was throwing them away, or throwing passes into an area where either the WR was getting it, or no one was getting it. I never really saw him badly miss an open guy. This isnt to say I think hes amazing, but his stats from ISU werent quite as bad as they look.
