Duh!
Because we have been in a conference with KU since 1907 and they are the closest school in the conference to us. It’s like 3.5 hours from Des Moines to Lawrence.
I understand that as a fan, but conferences and media partners have made it clear for a while that none of that matters. I am looking at it from a lens of what helps create the most value/lift for ISU and games with 300K viewers isn’t part of that. Sadly, it’s a different world.

I would've rather had Memphis over UCF. UCF will be ok for football, but a doormat in basketball. BYU will probably struggle in both, honestly, but I like what they add to the conference (western footprint, rabid fan base, multiple concubines etc).

I think this better positions ISU/Big 12 for when it is the ACC's turn.

From all BYU fans - Thanks for the welcome

Welcome aboard!

One item. We have 1 too many "Cougars" in the conference now.

Have you considered a name change? Maybe something like the BYU Longhorns or BYU Sooners?

We need to eliminate confusion while growing the Big 12 brand

With that said, still praying for a Big 10 invite. That keeps Campbell and probably and extra 50 million per year.

Since our record against UT is 4 - 1 and against OU is 2 - 0 we basically claim ownership of both brands

If you haven't seen this it's from BYU's game against UT in 2014 and is worth the 2 minutes to watch:

Maybe a slight chance at some stability but it was going to happen no matter what but I'm already bored by divisions/lack of round robin.

One of those is not like the other.

I was so confused when that video started.
