Are they going to fire Bebeee now?
I'm sure somehow he'll find a way to get more money for himself on his 'success' of keeping things together
Are they going to fire Bebeee now?
WE ARE IOWA STATE!!Per Chip Brown's radio show: Official announcement coming within a matter of minutes!! Time to celebrate Cyclones, we just dodged a MAJOR bullet!
Differences in revenue for schools is still based on TV appearances. i.e. Texas & OU get more of the pie b/c they are on TV more. However if ISU has a very strong year they will be on TV more and make more $.
With NU and CU gone, shouldn't the rest of us end up on TV more? Thus helping to level out the revenue?
Who cares. Did you read Mr Fred Ex?Yeah, you're right, because everyone is watching Memphis football!
It is unfortunate that we had to lose Nebraska and Colorado to get this done. Two long time opponents of us are gone. If Beebe would have been more pro-active and done this a couple years ago, it would have been better. We are NOT better w/out Nebraska and CU. but over all, if it is true and the big12 stays, I am happy.
I'll take $14 million, but I'm really hoping all of our games our on TV.
Since the Big 12 used to show 5 every weekend, we should be set. Plus, once the Longhorn Network comes into play, that's 4 games for the rest of the Networks.
I wonder if the Longhorn Network will be the exclusive airer of all Texas regular season games?
Add Memphis please. That would add at least 5-6 million a year per team.

Umm, the FedEx deal for Memphis to a BCS conference was reported at $10M per year. Since there are now 10 teams in the Big 12, split ten ways, $10M/10 Teams = $1M per team per year. How the heck are you getting 5-6? Memphis isn't going to drive a ton more money on our TV contract.
Grab it and run!!! Yes!!!!$20-$25 million for Texas, A&M, OU. $14-$17 million for ISU and everyone else. I'll take that in a heartbeat!
You have to add Memphis to get the money, and I don't think they are going to set to the side and just let everyone have the money. Additionally, you need to add another team to have an even number of teams. Basically, this guy is trying to become the title sponsor of a BCS conference.
So, which team moves to the Big-TwElveN North?
