Bilas was as complimentary as one could be and clearly did his homework before the game.

The only way he was critical at all was about our unforced turnovers and I struggle to call that “critical”. It was objectively true.

Anyone complaining is just butt hurt over ESPNs general coverage. Time to get over it.
Yeah, the only thing even slightly annoying was how many times he went back to the turnovers (though it's fair to admit that he wouldn't have if they had stopped doing it lol), but there are a ton of announcers that get stuck on a point and get repetitive.

I payed attention to that specifically because people were complaining about it, but as you say he only kept bringing it up because we kept doing it. He also said multiple times it was unforced and wasn't really anything KU was doing on defense, which can be looked at as both a positive and a negative. Negative in that it's self inflicted, but positive in that it's 100% correctable. It's not like he was kissing KUs butt and saying they were causing all these turnovers because it was a physical or athletic mismatch on KUs part.

I’m just glad Bilas got to see what type of player Curt is. When he’s doing other games later this year and goes down the ‘one of the best guards in the country’ talk, I’ll be curious if Curt enters the conversation.
He's already forgot about him probably...

Don't really care one way or another on Bilas but one thing for certain is they don't send him to crappy games. If he's calling a game ESPN must figure it's a biggie. That being said give me Fran or Raftery anytime.

Bilas was asked today who is the best team in the country—his answer was Duke, Auburn, and Houston. No mention of Iowa State by Jay.

Iowa State has been getting a ton of well-deserved national/regional press from CBS Sports, SI and others. Almost every talking head on TV and on the internet is gushing. It will keep up as long as we keep winning, but we need to make it to the final four to consolidate our gains.
