So much for the mighty Big 10. One team in the final four is not dominant. Also love that Kansas and Kansas State have to hate Wichita State for their success this year.

With Michigan playing tomorrow, they still have a shot at two in the Final Four.

(If you include the NIT)

says who?

I highly doubt two team's fans that got beat out by higher seeds, would be cheering for their neighboring mid major.

.

Actually and technically you can't include the NIT. There is no "final four" in the NIT,only in the NCAA. If you listen closely to the ESPN announcers covering the NIT,they don't say "final four" because they can't,it's always NIT quarterfinals or semi-finals,etc. Now if Gary Dolphin or Keith Murphy say it,the "technical police" won't repremand them but I will.

I love how it's coming down to conference smack now. Good grief. The Big East is certainly proving their worth in their final go-round, but the Big Ten is now 13-6 in the tournament. Not exactly bad numbers. Oh, and 12-1 vs. the Big 12.

An absolutely horrible "illegal screen" call at about the 10:38 mark! I turned to my buds and said that will be a turning point, and it almost was! Luckily, the Ohio St. "6th man" officiating crew couldn't win it for the Buckeyes this time! Congrats to the Shockers! Wish it was us!

You can believe in it because you just resorted to it.

How have they done against seeds above them?

You've got to be kidding me. If you think these references to the Big 10 came out of the blue then you are from la-la land.

No ISU fan would be mentioning anything about the conferences if it weren't for the delusional coattail riding of some Hawkeyes. All we need to say is NCAA > NIT.

Now that the delusions have been popped and the Big 10 may very well get 0 teams in the Final Four (that's the same as the Big 12, the Atlantic Sun, and the CIML, by the way) no Hawkeye fan - rational or not - gets to lament the absurdity of "conference smack."

I am so glad Ohio St. lost tonight. Their fan base is as cocky as it gets.

Think Iowa x 10 with a union assembly plant mindset.

The big ten is good this year but after watching the tournement games so far its pretty tough to argue them being better than the big east. If it wasn't for a miracle finish by michigan the big ten gets one in the elite 8 and zero in the final 4. Solid conference but slightly overrated by the media. Still the 2nd best conference in college basketball and definitely better than the big 12.
