The big ten is good this year but after watching the tournement games so far its pretty tough to argue them being better than the big east. If it wasn't for a miracle finish by michigan the big ten gets one in the elite 8 and zero in the final 4. Solid conference but slightly overrated by the media. Still the 2nd best conference in college basketball and definitely better than the big 12.

Except two Big 12 teams just about took them out, should have took them out. They needed a home court, a key injury to an opposing player, and some bad calls to help them pull it out against Iowa State, and an epic meltdown on behalf of KU in which we have seen some of the lowest basketball IQ ever by KU and Bill Self. Yeah, Michigan and OSU won, but they shouldn't have, they really shouldn't have. Those two teams are were still in the tournament by a hair, they came oh so close to not having any teams in the Elite 8.

says who?

I highly doubt two team's fans that got beat out by higher seeds, would be cheering for their neighboring mid major.

Well you're wrong. Lots of KU and KSU fans are cheering for them. Hell some KSU fans were cheering for KU when KSU lost. Now with both teams out who else will represent the state of Kansas. Even the KC media is on the WSU bandwagon.

And don't forget, all you Hawkeye lovers, that Iowa did play in a tougher conference, but their schedule was still easier than ISU's.

ISU has to play all the other Big 12 teams twice. Iowa got about the easiest Big 10 schedule you could possibly get this year. They played all the difficult teams (except Indiana) only once, and got to play all the horrible teams twice. It wasn't that tough of a schedule at all.

It would be the equivalent of ISU only having to play KU, KSU, Okie St, and OU all once instead of twice. That helps out a LOT.

I think Kansas may fall outside the term "meltdown".

Up 16 with 6 minutes left.

Up 10 with 2 minutes left.

I don't much care for the use of choke but it probably fits this one.

lol. Some Buckeyes think something nefarious was going down

Scout.com: Was it fixed?

You have to really take a look at the officiating. The more I look at this DVR recording the more suspicious I become. It was a very strangely called game. I have been hard on the Bucks since the final tick, but now I am seeing how WS was helped into victory. There were some EVIL forces that did not want the Buckieyes to advance. What a TRAVESTY.

Our team worked too hard this season to be CHEATED out of the FINAL FOUR

LOL, this is rich. Hey, Buckeye fans....your team was down by 20!! They were lucky to even climb out of that deficit and if I were a WSU fan, I'd be wondering about whether the refs were trying to help the Bucks back into it with all the tick-tack fouls they were calling on OSU's end but allowing muggings on the other end!

When it comes down to a one possesion game there is ALWAYS going to be a call/no call that the losing team feels like they got screwed on. The thing that hurt the most about the close cyclone losses were that they got beat on some incredible low percentage shots that you probably want the opposition taking in that situation. It would have been nice just one of those games to have the last shot at the end of regulation with enough time to set up a play for our offense. The point that I was initially trying to make is that as a fan base, we really don't have a lot of room to make fun of other teams that claim that the refs have a conspiracy against them. I will admit that the Tom oneil thing is awfully suspicious, but if I was an outsider looking in, it would seem like it was just one of many blown calls in another close game this year.

Ha ha. If the fix was in, their players were in on it. They were sleepwalking through the first 34 minutes or so.

I am as much of a Wildcat as they come. My mother, Chris Williams, and Tron Smith all call me Wildcat. Chris probably does not even know my given name. I am cheering like a mad man for Wichita State. Why should I hate them because they have been so successful in the tournament? It takes a very small person to hate others just because they have a time in the sun. Wichita State needs this for the financial well being of their entire athletic department. They have worked their butts off and made best use of very limited resources. Folks, this is like UNI making the Final 4, you know, the really big, big dance. This man says, "Go Shockers Go!"

I honestly didn't care about UNI and Drake when they made the tournament. I rooted for UNI against KU because they were the underdog, not because they were UNI. Drake losing didn't phase me. I pretty much root for the underdogs no matter who I have in my bracket.

This is the typical reaction when programs accustom to getting (benefit of the doubt) favorable treatment get an evenly called game. You see it from KU in any close game or loss. Hell, you have some KU fans thinking nefarious behavior from the refs is to blame for their loss- the refs purposefully did not eject Johnson so would KU lose.

Maybe it was mentioned earlier but I am sooooooo glad Ohio State got beat. I really thought at the end that the ref's were slowly letting osu back in - no calls when there was contact as the Shockers were driving the lane, but oh my gosh osu drives to the bucket a foul every time and very little contact. Motta and Craft make a nice pair to dislike on the court.
