I'm kind of new to the site, so I ask this question because I don't know. Were people this excited to watch the NBA when Brackins left? Or is Royce the most celebrated Cyclone since Fizer?

I thought Woodbury was going to the pros in a year.:twitcy:What really sucks is, we won't get to see if Woodbury is better than Royce
As far as I remember, not even close! Royce has really embraced the community and has brought winning and excitement back to Ames. Brackins could score it but he wasn't near the player that Royce is. Personally I always thought that Craig was a little overrated and I'm not surprised to see he hasn't done anything in the NBA yet.
He won't be leaving much money on the table at all. This isn't the NFL, there aren't huge differences between any first round deals. You make your money off your second and third contract, not your first.
When I saw that picture of his twitter and the time was an hour early, guarantee he was in the eastern time zone hiring an agent!

In 2 years Hoiberg has produced an NBA player, a D-League player, and a European League player. And I don't think Vanderbeken or Garrett would still be playing if McDermott were still here. And Royce never would've come here.
Brackins 3rd season ended in epic failure (not because of Brackins) so no one was excited about much of anything afterwords. Still have much love for CB for coming back and trying to do something special at ISU. We just didn't have as good of leadership.
This is normal. The two year contract plus two more option years will mean he does not cost much the first four years for $6M total. After he proves himself, then he can sign a $60M five year deal.I don't think Royce cares about how much money he earns right now, he just wants money to support his family. He will dominate throughout his first contract and get more money when he signs his second.
I understand the sarcasm, but I don't think Royce was going to come back whether he was projected first round or late second round. If he knew he had a shot, I think he was gone.
He would be like Thomas Robinson this year.I am with Mary Terrell on this one, he will be leaving a lot of money on the table by leaving early. Can you imagine the national attention he would get next season by staying another year?
Bitterness, one of the hallmarks of douchebaggery.
this. don't understand all the hate on CB... he came back to help, he just didnt get any from the rest of the team other than DG
