When the local news throws this out to all the Central Iowa audience, I think it is thread worthy. I know they are full of it. I just don't understand why they put crap like that on a news cast.

It makes ratings and sells commercials.

CPR was one of 4 names mentioned by Joe Shad on ESPN. The truth of it is that most of these so called experts know little more than most people on these boards. I highly doubt CPR will end up at ASU.

Ed Wilson is a straight up tool. I will give him credit though, he's better then Scott Pope ever thought of being. Pope was a **** who thought his **** didn't stink. He figured he was better then others. Until I told him that he was a lame *** ***** at a club one night. The fat **** tried to have me thrown out for my comments. I still laugh to this day.

Rhoads to the Moon.

I heard from a very good source that Rhoads is off to Wartburg..he's getting offered a laundry dryer and a coupon from Wartburg's officials to Applebees.

We need to step up our donations to keep him here and offer better coupon deals to ensure CPR staying!

If that's wrong then we both would be wrong. Rhoads has shown to much passion for ISU and said too many things to lead us to believe he will be here a long time. If he left, IMO, everything he has said would be a farce and I would feel like we were used. It's not just the winning that is making his name pop up. It's the type of coach he is. It's the type of emotion he shows that really translates to college sports, especially at ISU because you have to find something to make up the talent gap. In our case we do it, for the most part with passion, emotion and intensity. I would feel like that was "faked", for lack of a better term, while he was here if he left so soon for a place like ASU or Illinois. If it were Alabama or Florida or Ohio or something like that, I may not feel that way. You can do as much at ISU as you can at Illinois or ASU and with the new money coming in, you can make as much. It would break my heart to see him leave and yes, I realize that is somewhat pathetic.

This. If Rhoads leaves then you can take all the You Tube Locker Room speeches and throw them in the garbage.

It is Rhoads passion for ISU and his players that is so appealing. If he leaves for money then all his rhetoric about being "All In" is just a bunch of BS.

We need to reward CPR and his staff with some raises. They have done a good job. But outrageous raises are foolhardy. And also commit to improving facilities and infrastructure to help them in their efforts of building a consistent winning program that can challenge for championships.

Ferentz is getting quite the backlash because of his outrageous salary and mediocre results. Big money does not guarantee results. Ask Turner Gill.

Seriously? Ed Wilson is great and he's a huge ISU fan too. You should tell Ed's nephew who was a football player for ISU that his uncle is a tool and then let me know how that turned out.

KFc needs to learn how to beat Nebby or he will be gone.

I witnessed Rhoads driving his truck down Main Street in Ames about a month ago, so its pretty obvious he support local businesses, and not corporate America.

I don't think it's a "Rhoads can never leave or it's all just rhetoric" as it seems you've painted it. There will come a point, maybe 5-10 years from now, if CPR continues and improves his run at ISU, that say a big time program comes calling and he chooses to accept, that that most of Cyclone Nation, while sad, will wish him well. Right now it's just way too soon. To win the locker room over the way he did, with the "All In" and "I'm So Proud" mentality, only to leave right when he's getting the ball rolling, that would be devastating to our program and he'd lose all credibility. 5-10 years from now he'd be far enough removed from Chizik's betrayal where it would be different.
