I completely understand the hate. It's like a marriage where Chiz is the hubby and blames all of the problems in the marriage on his wife, Iowa State. When he finds himself a richer, younger woman, not only does he dump his first wife, but tells her she sucks and he never wanted to be with her, and does so in about 30 seconds as an afterthought. She knows she's better off without him, but is perfectly entitled to despise him forever and hope the new wife dumps his sorry ***.
and his new wife immediately wins the lottery.

Wonder if Auburn will have a " you're fired" coin with Donald Trump on it. Could not happen to a nicer DBAG.

I'll make you all a deal. Pay me the $7.5 million that is owed Chizik. You can then bad mouth and hate me for any reason real or imagined. Think about it people! Geno has to laughing all the way to the bank. If he gets totally bored he can go find a job as a d coordinator. In the meantime, he can enjoy having financial security for life that most of us will only dream of having.

Yes, but he'll get terrible restaurant service any time he's in Ames. IS IT WORTH IT??

Depends how good the restaurants are wherever they DON'T hate him. Of course, that place is hard to find

I'm not sad about this. I said this in another thread, basically anytime a coach is let go for whatever reason, it's important to remember they usually have no worries of ever going hungry. He took the accelerated path to a national championship and now is several steps back. Had he stayed here would have success followed? Who knows. I'm glad the way things worked out for all involved.

No I like Wally Burnham!! Yes he will laugh all the way to the bank and be able to kiss his ring daily, but I hope somewhere deep down inside he knows he is just not a head coach.

He could probably eat in iowa city, however, downside for him is he has to be in iowa city...
What about SEC college towns? They wouldn't hate him, so he would get ok service, but he would still have to deal with everyone laughing at him

I don't understand the hate here. Don't get me wrong, I think the guy is as fake as they come but quite honestly, he helped us so much when he went to Auburn. He wasn't going to work here and he was just about to get an extension meaning he'd have still been here or we'd have fired him and been paying him a huge buyout. Instead, we got to get a great coach and Auburn paid us like 750,000 or something like that. I could care less how he left, just happy it worked out that he did.

hit it hard every yard

It will explain it in detail. It's all the way at the bottom of the page.

The fact that it worked out better for us is no reason to forgive him being a complete *** about it. He gets no credit for "leaving us without having to pay him off" when he left because of his own greed and lack of loyalty. The fact that we ended up better off without him is just our good fortune and has nothing to do with anything "good" he did for ISU.

The fact that the buzzard makes a meal out of the dead raccoon carcass on the side of the road doesn't mean I had anything good in mind for the buzzard when I hit the raccoon with my car. It's just an unintended byproduct.
