I wouldn't go my next door neighbor long with the grass, but leaving it a little long would be okay with me. Heck I would aerate it too, leaving those big ground plugs all over - screw it

If the field turf guys need a little expert advice on having an uneven, rough and often unkempt grassy surface I'm their guy.

Colorado game in 2005. Very memorable game. First, that game was on my birthday, and is the only present I still remember from that particular birthday. Second, that was one week before I started dating the woman who would become my wife a year later.

I understand that there's been a level of cooperation between the grounds crew and the bio-engineering department.

I would be pretty embarrassed if ISU "modified" the field to get an advantage. That's something Iowa would do along with their pink visitors lockeroom.

**** that. I would have no problem if someone "accidently" left the sprinkler system on all night and all day tomorrow

Heard Art Briles on Sirius radio this week talking about playing us earlier in Ames vs. later in year. Said "since we are playing them early we will be playing on Bermuda and not on overseed". LOL. Thought my fellow Turfy's would get a kick out of that. Clueless.
