We could beat any of those teams pretty easily, except for maybe Bama. We’d make it a game but they are an NFL team and are on another level.
I remember the Notre Dame game from last year. We are way better now but they are incrementally better as well. Bama would kill Notre Dame.

The crazy scenario we get in is Michigan has CoVid issues and cancels game vs. tOSU. JP swoops in and offers tOSU a game in Ames next weekend (they will need another game, they won't get in with only five games). We win and also take care of business in Dallas. We are in. You wanted crazy, there it is.
OSU is in the playoff. They don't need jack.

They could have announced it in September

Bama should be in at this point.
Ohio State should be in barring a bad loss to Michigan or Northwestern.
Notre Dame may be in even with a loss to Clemson in the title.
Clemson just needs to beat ND, I'd pick them to do it.
A&M will win out, but need Ohio State or Clemson to stumble. May get in over ND if they lose, not a guarantee.
Cincinnati needs a lot of help, beating Tulsa twice won't move their needle.
Florida has a punchers chance to beat Bama, but from what I've seen... good luck.
Everyone else, better luck next year.

It will be interesting to see where these 4 teams land in the final ranking. Hopefully the committee doesn't schedule ND vs Clemson round 3

I see it as

1 Alabama vs 4 Notre Dame
2 Clemson vs 3 Ohio State

Not exactly sure.
I could see the committee dealing with the G5 situation that they feel as an irritant this year if Cincinnati wins out. Put them in against the bama buzzsaw and say, wow the G5’s really don’t belong and ignore them for a long time again.

I liked someone's idea about Ohio St playing against ISU but remember the B1G painted themselves into a corner with no non-con games.

OK. So here's a scenario. Everything starts to fall in line for ISU. ISU looking like 5th and tOsu 4th. But tOSU doesn't qualify the the ccg and they play Iowa the last week. So if Iowa beats tOSU, ISU goes to the playoffs.

Do hawk fans cheer for or against Iowa then?

My New Year's Six Bowl Game Predictions. Not sure how the Playoff Bowls will go but the rest aligns

I think the Big 12 Champ gets Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl and the loser goes to the Fiesta Bowl to take on Cincinnati. (A team I would not like to play)

What a morning to think that we are going to play in a NY6 bowl game. I haven't watched A&M, but from what ESPN tells me they are in the SEC and are really good... Plus playing them in TX. I would rather play in Arizona, but A&M in TX or Cincy in AZ? I take A&M in TX.

I'd replace a two loss Northwestern with one loss Indiana.

I'm also very hopeful the big 12 loser gets into the Fiesta. I won't be holding my breath that a 3 loss big 12 runner up gets in over a 2 loss Georgia. Hope I'm wrong for Oklahoma's sake.

If OSU can't play their last game and the B1G makes an exception to have them play in the CCG, I would be livid if I was Indiana. For sure they should raise hell with the conference if they get bumped off the championship game.

All State predictor is a joke. Last week they gave BYU a 28% chance of making the playoffs. ISU (which is on a 5 game winning streak) has a much better chance than USC.

To lazy to read the full thread so I'll just leave this here:

"From a fellow AD explaining why he likes ISU,” Pollard wrote in his tweet. “‘ISU has twice as many wins against schools with winning records as the combined total of the 5 schools from the Big Ten ranked in the CFP. ISU has four wins while OSU, NU, UW, UI AND IU have COMBINED for a total of only two wins.
