His DL coach in Dallas is now the Raiders DL coach. Between that and having Darren Waller to be a role model, it could probably work.

The NFL weed policy is ridiculous but, yes, definitely a puzzling career move. Irving seems to march to the beat of his own drum though. An interesting guy to say the least.
Pretty sure they dont test for weed now so that is why he is coming back.

Really wish we could have had him around with Coach Rasheed. He never came close to his ceiling in college.

Isn’t it part of the new players union contract that they no longer test for weed??
I'm no NFL CBA expert here but I think you get tested once during training camp (so like August) and then that's it. And you have a huge heads up the test is coming.

They shortened the testing window, increased the threshold for what is considered a positive test, and eliminated SUSPENSIONS, but not fines, for positives.
