I am sick of the the fact that you gather before the game in a circle and take turns as to who scans the crowd for people not wearing the "shirt."

I am sick of the fact that I see you standing in the front row the whole game with your arms crossed.

I am sick of you giving us dirty glares.

I am sick of your stupid props.

I am sick of your lack of leadership.

I am sick of your lack of cheering.

BE A LEADER NOT A FOLLOWER.....YOU DONT DESERVE THE BADGE

LAMD

What do you want to do then? ******** gets nothing accomplished. I'm not on CAC but give me your suggestions and I will gladly relay those onto them, I know several CAC members. How do you want them to get the Mommy and Daddy freshman to yell and cheer? What are you expecting out of CAC? I'm sorry if this isn't your Floyd/Orr Cyclone student fans. We're doing what we can with what we have.

NOBODY on CAC was around when they decided to form Cyclone Alley. It's around now and will be around for the rest of the season. What do you want them to do?

Cyclone Alley sucks balls. It needs to go back to 4 games in arena circle, 6 - 8 in parque and 4 in the upper deck.

Good luck with that. Try asking the season ticket holders that are in the spots you want to move.

These threads are getting ******* ridiculous. The board of regents continues to raise our tuition and just imposed a $100 tuition surcharge on us for the spring semester because of the economy is ****ed up. We don't leave in the 90's anymore folks.

I am sick of cyclone alley central getting blamed for people not cheering, i have never once told someone to stop yelling

I am sick of hearing cyclone alley central doesn't cheer, i was one of the few people in the section yelling OOOOOOOOOOO on EVERY defensive possession along with the two kids next to me and the manager for the team

I am sick of you looking at one person on the committee and saying, "look the whole committee sucks"

If you have problems with CA i can see that and respect everyone's opinion but when you say we don't cheer but i lost my voice by halftime because i was cheering for my cyclones playing defense in front of me every possession you can see why i might be upset

Sounds like you should find a different committee then. I also apologize for not wearing a shirt tonight.

Its tough for any crowd to keep pumped up when their team leads the WHOLE game. But granted, bring back the creative side to the student section! Not the communist Cyclone Alley!

Oh how the mighty have fallen...

I'm a freshman this year and having been brought up during the glory days of ISU bball, I was excited to finally be a part of the student section. Tonight I was sitting on the east side, and on one possession for Iowa, my friend and I were shouting OOOOOOO until we realized we were the only ones doing it, and the people around us were staring at us like we were circus rejects
PATHETIC

My childhood memories of Hilton Magic have faded into a dream-like realm:sad:

I do not think he is referring to the balcony part of the rotation. The challenge would be Parquet side seating with donors will not be moved at this point, the costs would be to high.

How does CAC limit the creativity of students in Cyclone Alley?

All they do is lead free throw distractions. Normally people would probably just wave their arms anyways.

Cyclone Alley started during my senior year back when it was only on one side of the arena. I joined and hated the props, chants etc. In fact, during the Baylor game that year they handed out balloons in CA and it made it nearly impossible to even see the court, so I took off my stupid red shirt and walked to the opposite side and watched the second half from the normal student section. The old student section was LOUD, and there were often times that my ears were ringing after a game. The 2004 Texas and Colorado games come to mind. When Texas missed those two free throws Hilton was rocking. (and we didn't need Free-Throw gimmicks to make them miss, we were just loud) Anyway, that's my CA rant. Please go back to the old student section and make Hilton a tough place to play again.

Started with everyone dressing the same

Then it was a particular CAC that strictly enforced the shirts as well rules about behavior :policeman:

Then... I just don't know

I'd take a loud and intimidating place and fun over high priced snobs leaving the game at the 4 minute time out.

There were cheap seat students leaving then too.

They drop in the 'drive home forecast' at 8 mins to go, thats just encouragement to leave.

As long as CAC exists, Hilton will be just another gym. Most of the children that make up CAC look like they were forced to be there with their arms crossed and the complete lack of interest on their faces. It's a joke.

The free throw distractions are about as useful as 2 dollar bill, the players seem to miss more free throws when we don't do anything. This is coming from a freshman, who has followed iowa state basketball, as well as attending games ever since he can remember and the student section is a decaffeinated, sugar free, watered down version of great establishment that was the Iowa State student section

So we're they preventing you from wearing all your stuff over the shirt? Or what was the deal there? Did the shirt have to be visible?

Are you talking about high priced snobs in the student section or high priced snobs in the general public?

Cause I agree that I would take that too, but unfortunately, you don't **** off the people who are donating the cash to keep things running.

I think that CA must limit the drinking. Seriously, don't any students show up drunk anymore? At least when you are drunk and are the only one yelling OOOOOO, you don't care if everyone is looking at you and you're likely louder. I guess I am condoning more alcohol. That is my suggestion. As well as QUIT enforcing a strict dress code. Get crazy, get drunk, get stupid, get ********, and get LOUD.

Making everyone wear the same thing, takes a lot of creativity from people. Football doesn't have a cac committee, why does basketball need one? Students do EXCELLENT at football games and everyone knows it. Basketball games and cyclone alley, not so much. Look around.

It is what it is, and everyone is leaving, most seem to be families or some who may have sat through 30 years in Hilton. My comment was not a commentary on students vs donors, simply a statement of it not being likely to happen.
