Fred needs to take a page out of Self's book and handle the matter internally. Case closed. This doesn't need to be a public thing.

I'd like to hear Fred say, "I will weigh the facts over the next couple of days and decide what to do once I have them all". The suspend him for Southern, Drake, and Mississippi Valley State once he has all the facts.

I'd like for Fred to rail on the Ames PD for overstepping and causing this to be a bigger issue that it really was, but that won't happen. I'm preparing my nutcup for a 2 game suspension, because this has blown up way more than it should have.

Thanks for that. Do I care that he smokes weed, plays video games, and listens to loud music? No, I dont care. The point, if you can actually think logically, is that he is a high (haha) profile player, who is on a top 15 ranked team, and is on a very short leash. Look, I think weed should be legalized, and I smoke from time to time to, but the bottom line is he committed a crime. Granted its not serious, and imo, a bit ridiculous, but its still a crime. he has to be smarter about the situations he puts himself in.

I don't know if you heard but he didn't commit that crime. He committed a noise violation which is normally just a municipal infraction and fine. Let's keep things straight.

You call the crime ridiculous and still said you think he should be kicked off the team.

Fred isn't suspending him for 3 games, no way, not with a noise complaint charge a simple misdemeanor. What's wrong with u people? ISU has a policy that takes away the pressure of a coach having to decide these things, some schools leave it up to the coach(eh hum Iowa). It's actually good that ISU has this policy. ISU doesn't suspend u for a simple misdemeanor. Just sayin. Now, certainly Fred can do what he wants outside of any ISU punishment or a lacktherof as it's his program, but my guess is Fred will say he is following University policy no matter the decision.

I was listening to the Murph and Andy show (with the fill in hosts) and had to turn it off.

So many holier than though jerk offs who insist that weed is evil and that he should be booted from the team.

Cripes it's almost 2015 and you're acting like Red Foreman.

What the hell am I supposed to do until 4:00pm? I've already wasted my whole day on this and not gotten anything done at work. I'll have to take most of my work home. Thanks, CF....

I think his point was more about sticking it to iowa and iowa fans, than the actual number of games.

Just because you disagree with the law doesn't mean you can break it. Weed is still illegal, so at the end of the day cops still found an illegal substance in his apartment. Pretty cut and dry.

I hadn't thought of this, I really hope there is policy that restricts the punishment cause it's a simple misdemeanor, it'll let Fred say he is following University policy and still keep BDJ on the team for tomorrow night. Then Fred can run BDJ's dumb butt off tonight and tomorrow and take him out of the starting lineup for a game or two.

No, I said this situation, coupled with alllll of the crap that his been going on at his apartment in the past, and his USC and UNLV baggage, could warrant removal.

If this was one isolated incident, then I could see very little punishment being warranted.

Also, dreamyfred.... did you just change your picture and "clean up" your original post to me? haha

I believe in people being held accountable for their actions, their choices, but I am far from "an authoritarian nut job." I trust that Fred will make the right call here - whether that's a suspension or no suspension.

People w no info on Nader are calling for him to be suspended. They are nutjobs unless they were there.
