Testifying
Jok would have been a great addition to the Clones, but as others have posted, Lefty Moore sent a couple too many texts, so Fred backed off, as he should have. I would really like to have Naz back, Hell I would like to have Percy or Dorsey Walker back to add some depth to the team. Jok has turned out to be a good player.
I think Percy would have graduated?

You are dumb. IDC if its the big10 you have no idea wtf ur talking about
All bias aside the top 6 teams in big12 and big10 are pretty similar. Both tough as hell

The top six are not similar. The Big 10 has Maryland, Iowa and Michigan State. Purdue, Michigan and Indiana are ok. The rest of the conference is garbage. That's eight garbage teams.

The Big 12 has Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa State, West Virginia, Baylor and Texas. Texas Tech and K-State are ok. That leaves two garbage teams. OSU and TCU.

Huge difference.

They will be down for sure next year, or at least I think they will. It is probably my fault they are good this year though, as I kind of ran some smack at my Hawkeye friends, telling them both teams were final 4 teams, only they would be in the NIT final 4.

They will have a horrible year. They'll be rolling out a point guard and shooting guard with literally next to zero ncaa experience. Likely Bohannon and Ellingson : ) It'll be fun to watch them try to hold their water playing against our senior guards : )

Jok will be their everything. Uhl will be a solid player. Their freshman center will be forced to grow up fast. Other than that pretty much zero returning experience and no other impact recruits.

Props to them for a great season so far give me a call when they maintain that for 4-5 years. Difference between the two programs.

Big 10: 7, 8, 18, 20, 35, 45, 50

I'm going to go with the top of the Big 12 being significantly better.

No they're not. And even if the Top 6 were similar, what proportion of the total conference does the top 6 make in the B10 vs B12...

Not saying Iowa isn't legit. They are. It's a great achievement to have the conference record they have in any P5 conference.

Not getting Uthoff was the bigger miss

hard to compete for a kid who gave up an entire year eligibility to:

1) play with his butt buddies from Siouxland

2) land in IC because he also wanted to stay with his girlfriend. The guy has been whipped since he was 18

Big 12 is better. I just hope we don't crap the bed again in the NCAA's. Well, I guess I don't mind if the rest of the conference does, as long as we don't.

Uh, no.

They are going to struggle next season. I think you're right in that they will improve quite a bit throughout the year. But they are an NIT roster at best without a PG with any experience. Williams has played very little this season.

Despite what some people think, I don't really like talking positively about that team from the East, but.... I don't think on paper their roster matters. Still bet they make the tournament. You're giving the bottom half of the big10 too much credit. Lots of wins there. Regardless of our difference of opinion on Uhl, him and Jones, Wagner, Cook, and Pemsli will provide front court depth and make progress in Fran's system. He seems to be recruiting more versatile players, imo.

Look at cooks offers. It's a pain to say but fran can coach

Yeah, this. The problem in the Big Ten isn't so much the top end. It's the fact that there are some brutally awful teams in that conference similar to football. Maryland, MSU, Indiana, and Iowa play with anyone in the B12 but when you start looking at the middle of the conference (UM, Wisconsin) they look a lot more like a Tech and not a Texas. Then you have probably 3-4 teams that wouldn't beat TCU. It's not really a slight to the B10 as much as it speaks to the fact that in the B12, you have one game that's "easy" and that's TCU at home. The vast majority of P5 road games are tough no matter what conference you are in. Easy home games once and awhile would be nice.

Is this a trap? C'mon, as much as I would want to believe you, you know they're not going to be horrible. Fran's stability in coaching staff, know what they're doing, and can drill it. Sure they won't have a Uthoff but his system works. Not falling for these naysayer posts anymore and then they become the darlings of the basketball nation, and I have to see that dreaded SI issue again. Sure would like to know with all the experienced seniors they had coming back from two consecutive tournament teams, why they weren't ranked at the beginning of the year in the first place. Aaron White was good but only 1 guy.

Big Ten/ACC it is all about your schedule and who you "miss" and who you "get" to play twice. Virginia for instance as the #44 conference SOS, Miami the #47, and UNC has the #100. In the Big Ten Iowa has the #16 conference SOS, Maryland #33, and Indiana #122.

Some teams have it easy, and some have it tougher, but in the Big 12 you get everyone. Some years that can be good when you get say 8 or 10 games vs teams that aren't tournament teams. This year it is a *****, as it seems we could have 7 out of 10 teams in the NCAA's.

I thought they'd have a solid year they are starting four seniors and a junior. Both Uthoff and Jok have shown a ton of improvement. I definitely did not see them being a top ten team though. For whatever reason I don't see them making a deep run. They'll run into a team with a great defensive stopper or two and shut Uthoff and Jok down. I just don't see Gesell Clemmons woodbury being able to carry the mail. On the contrary love the fact that we've seen Nader/Burton/Thomas having some 15-20 point games. If Morris and Niang have an off night in the tournament I think we have more balanced scoring.

No, Fred wanted him, but not the possible NCAA violations that could have come with it.

That's not true. His only offers were Drake and Iowa and Iowa only offered when they missed on a couple guys. Nobody wanted him out of high school.

Before the season everyone was thinking the big 10 was going to be the best conference in the country (no way!). That turned out to be WAY off.
