Documentary Video Up

yep, because it is emotional simplicity to prefer to get pumped up for football by watching football, rather than watching a documentary about the increase in washing machine capacity, and the turn-around speed on player acquisition of a new pair of gloves.

The smiley face, Gnomeborg, the smiley face! You aren't helping your cause. Now, go drink a Monster Ultra Blue, and report back. I know those cans are pretty.

I am more on the side of liking stuff like this. Much more information and behind the scenes things. I mean, let's be honest, any one of us could grab highlights and throw it over a track and create videos to get us amped up. Heck, I just watch CPR's locker room speech if I ever need to get charged up.

I think we probably got spoiled in the past with hit tapes as a fun thing. I was thinking as I watched the documentary on my tv last night, the cyclones.tv staff has a LOT more stuff to do now with filling programming for the channel, producing live events, and all the logistics behind it. I'd rather have a quality channel/content then just a highlight rock movie.

And, honestly, I'd rather see one or two GREAT ones (like homecoming last year or a "thank you seniors" type of one) here and there than one each week.

I like how the Hit Tape was only a few minutes, but could be viewed by recruits across the country. This would require a cyclones.tv subscription and can't be used in the same format.

Watched it without having to log in. Not premium content.

Did you miss the part with Jeremiah or the part where Rhoads talked about LJ calling him and telling him the same stuff Rhoads had been telling the team?

I think for the first game of the season this is a very cool way to bring the entire off season and fall camp into perspective.

I wasnt particularly interested in how much more room the equipment staff had but it was neat to see these folks that put in a lot of hard work to help get the players and staff equiped and setup for practice their 5 mintues of fame.

Is it as good as a hit tape? No. But in reality all that we were going to get with a hit tape this week was last years highlights anyway. We already saw all of those in last years Bowl Game hit tape so why just remake them?

I thought it was worth the 13 minutes to watch it.

It sounds like there won't be a weekly hit tape this year. Remember, the same people who made the hit tape are now filling a dedicated television station too. I heard it took one person nearly a whole week just to put the hit tape together.

I'm still a bigger fan of the hit tape. I love watching those 10 times in a row.

With that being said, I like the documentary but I don't love it.

I liked it. No it wasnt a Hit Tape but I also dont think they were shooting to replace that with this video.

It was pretty good. Not real exciting, but the section with Yancy was very telling. I am sure that teams all across the country are getting bigger, faster, and stronger too, but I really like his approach. The number of wins have not gone up as much as any of us would like, but the complete blowouts are much rarer than they use to be. Last year you can look at 3 games that ISU had a very good chance to win, and only a couple where ISU was outclassed.

Can someone tell me how this is a unique 3 week camp? It was mentioned in the video and Rhoads said it somewhere on a video as well.

I've been wondering that myself. Rhoads has mentioned that over and over in interviews this last month.
