Miller is very unbias. He isn't afraid to praise or rip either of the local teams. He has stated many times ISU has the most loyal fans in the nation.

What drives me nuts is he rips us regularly for it as well. In fact, he's often very demeaning to ISU fans.

A while back, it went on and on about how all matters in Ames is youtube video clips by CPR. That's all we care about is the popularity of some speech and not wins and losses.

All the while ignoring the fact that each of those viral videos came on the heels of a pretty monumental wins.

CPR isn't exactly setting the world on fire. But wins (and the associated speeches) at NU, at UT and after #2 OSU - those haven't happened in 25 years, if ever. That deserves some leniency on our part, IMO.

Whatever KXNO pays some of their guests is too much money, Bama Bob, Biff Hammer are awful.

Out of all the guests the worst is the Big Ten guy from Ohio who is on M&B. He says "umkay" after every sentence. My favorite was this spring during March Madness when he picked Nebraska to beat Baylor in the first round because according to him "Baylor never did anything in the tourney." I wanted to call in and say "Baylor has made the Elite 8 twice in the last 4 years..." Baylor then beat up Nebraska.

I enjoy Bama Bob, but I'm a huge college football fan so I'll listen to almost anyone talk about it.

Also, I must be the only person that doesn't like the Bruno segment. There's something about that guys voice that annoys the crap out of me

I used to love hearing Eric's take on the coming game Friday mornings. And they would generally have John on maybe Tuesday or Wednesday?

Heck - didn't they even have Mitch Holtus in the AM? During training camp. That was a couple times a week IIRC. I don't care a thing for the Chiefs, but it was still decent programming for the area.

That is because Holtus is great when it comes the Chiefs. The guy is the best.

Gotta love those long silent awkward pauses. Best part of the show. Phoebe Cates has nice boobs, but not worthy of 20 minutes.

I commute from 7:15-7:45, and they are almost never talking sports during that time. It's game week for crying out loud. Agree with the talk of dead air. So many awkward silent pauses...we deserve better. I don't need boob talk on the radio. I have Internet access for my boob media needs.

Have never listened to the show, but I do agree with the futility of talking about visual things (like bewbs) on the radio. I'll never forget travelling one time listening to a NASCAR pre-race on the radio. It was at a road course, and he was talking about the drop from one turn to another, and he said "you just can't get an accurate feel for it by watching on TV." Right, because I'm listening on the radio, where I can get no feel for it, whatsoever.

The morning show is terrible. If they spent at least half the time talking about sports, it might be tolerable. And they have the worst segment a sports radio show has ever had with that Bruno guy on Thursdays. Just awful.

Travis is truly an idiot, someone you'd be embarrassed to call family. I never buy it when Ross tries to go in on the pervert talk with him. Ross is better than Travis, but I still find him annoying. I hadn't listened to the show in about a year and tuned in for the last minutes of one last week. Holy cow, it was like they were looking at the clock waiting for the show to be over. It was dead silent with an occasional quip from one of them. You could tell they were just looking at their computer screens. They suck as radio hosts, and Travis sucks as a human being.

You know what's crazy? My commute time is 6:35 - 7:05, and they rarely talk sports during that time either. Here's the thing though. They do not care what the hell you think. Not one bit. They are having fun, they tell you exactly what they are about, announce it frequently, and could give a rip.

They aren't a sports talk show. They are a variety show. If you can't understand what they're going for, then you just don't get it. The tweets like the one in the OP (and the other one earlier in the hour where someone said the "Iowa State bias they have on the show is appalling")? They love them. Just means people are listening.

KxNO thread checklist:

1. The morning show sucks
2. Keith and Andy are the best
3. Miller is good, Brinson sucks
4. Rinse and repeat same topic every few months

What really funny is how much he (Ken Silverstein) looks like Mr Mackey from South Park, mmmkay...

This would be fine if the show didn't air on a sports radio station. If I want a variety show I'll flip it over to 93.3 or 102.5 Fm for my morning drive.
