You can onyl predict the upcoming season for ISU and Iowa so many times, and they have done it MANY times over the past few months. Its summer, local DM radio is tough during the summer. That being said, during the football and basketball season, they have, and will talk a ton more Iowa and ISU. Yes they will still go off topic more than they probably need to, but that is what they have always (self admittedly) done.

It's game week. They should be talking sports this week.

What really funny is how much he (Ken Silverstein) looks like Mr Mackey from South Park, mmmkay...

Man he's so annoying! He fills his segment by asking himself questions and then either answering with probably or I don't know, umkay.

The whole point of a local show is to actually talk about local sports sometimes. I get that they want to go off topic to make it fun, but I rarely hear them on topic.

He's actually grown on me too, can't explain it. I think at some point I switched to finding all of his dumb talking quirks funny instead of just annoying.

Whatever KXNO pays some of their guests is too much money, Bama Bob, Biff Hammer are awful.

Out of all the guests the worst is the Big Ten guy from Ohio who is on M&B. He says "umkay" after every sentence. My favorite was this spring during March Madness when he picked Nebraska to beat Baylor in the first round because according to him "Baylor never did anything in the tourney." I wanted to call in and say "Baylor has made the Elite 8 twice in the last 4 years..." Baylor then beat up Nebraska.

The best part is that he used Baylor "doing nothing" in the tournament as a reason to pick Nebraska... who has literally never done anything in the tournament.

I can't explain either. Somethign i've always loved is when Miller gets into breaking down schedules, pointing out big games, and over/unders on college/NFL teams.

Shocking that after getting called out on CyFan, then acknowledging getting called out on CyFan, then pretending not to know why they were being called out (they thought it was about Clone air time), then cherry picking like 3 people that called in or tweeted that claim they love the Boob Talk Hour, they go straight in to Hok X and O's.

Whats not shocking is that teh Hok X and O talk was still 100% better than the Boob Talk Hour, and that's coming from someone that dislikes everything Hok except a few close friends.

I hate the Omaha commercials crap...you are a Des Moines show speaking to Des Moines listeners. no problem with Travis being in Omaha, but to promote anything in Omaha is only hurting the economy in Des Moines.


I listen every day, and for the most part enjoy them. I'm hoping they'll get back to more sports talk after we've had some actual games this week.

I think Murph and Andy have a perfect balance of off topic and sports takes. They know when to be serious and when to have some fun.

Apparently you don't realize how local radio personalities are paid.

Either that or those two are just trying to make a point that they can talk sports, they just prefer to sling BS about music, movies, tv, and women.

I'm expecting the start of next Tuesday's show to go something like this -

Ross: Some very interesting games this weekend; Iowa's dreams of a 10-0 start to the season were ruined, and ISU's offense damn near broke the scoreboard with a fifty point outburst.
Travis: Yeah. Did you see what Courtney Johns was wearing on the news last night?

It has actually been a pretty normal week of content for them, other then them exploiting the guy for tweeting them what he did. Yes they get off topic frequently, but they still talk ISU and Iowa pretty frequently. This week has been so different.
