Reading some stuff today and it sounds like almost everyone was pissed post race. Riccardo was calling out the strategy in his post race interview, and apparently Stroll just ignored the team order to switch positions at the end.

Spa this week should be a lot of fun.

Drivers who are in the bottom 10 every week are at this point just collecting a paycheck. We make a big deal about who is driving for Haas next year and WIlliams and so on but does it actually matter? No. You can have Max drive a Haas or one of the bottom ten and it's still gonna be bottom 10. Danny Ric should have been mad. I knew, and I am not an expert, that his strategy was horrible during the race. How are the professionals getting it so wrong.

I'm personally excited for Esteban coming over to Haas, quick driver, race winner.

Yeah, yeah, yeah "bad teammate" Change of scenery will be good for him!

I wouldn't be surprised if the whole Ocon is a bad teammate thing is exaggerated like it seems everything in this sport is. Seems like a lot of that stuff was from years ago with Perez too.

Most importantly for Haas is that Ocon is a pretty good driver and he has experience.

100% agree with that statement.

Let's review his teammates...
Ricciardo--no issues
Falo--No issues (oustide of Saudi, but that is called racing)
Alonso--He's a teammate killer outside of Lance, but that appears to be heading south after last week.
Gasly should NEVER have been at Alpine, and we all see what Alpine is like now, just an awful decision for Alpine to bring on his childhood rival, and we all see how that's playing out.

With you on that. He get's a bad reputation because of his time with Alonso, who is a terrible teammate himself IMO, and then it was absolutely a stupid decision to put him and Gasly together. You take two guys who grew up as rivals from karting and think that's going to work well?

I think he'll actually do quite well for Haas. He's a capable set of hands and a really good benchmark for Bearman to see if he's capable or not.

As for the racing this weekend. Going to be super interesting. Red Bull are really good around SPA and is probably why they are electing to have Max take the power unit grid penalties there. Seems like no one other than Max really has the pace to compete with McLaren and if they have a good qualifiying, I'd kind of be surprised if they don't have another 1-2 finish.

Best case Max starts 11th and possibly lower as it looks like McLaren could have the quali pace on him. I think it'd be a great day for him to get 3rd starting from the middle of the pack. His lead over Lando could be down to ~65 points and the constructors lead could be less than 30 going into the break.

Drivers championship is a long shot still, but that's within striking distance. They'll be behind in the constructors in no time unless something changes with Perez. Perez went 7th and 9th in practice, a full second slower than Max. Remains pitiful.

It would have been nice to see Lando gain an extra 7 points last weekend but understand why they swapped. I think Lando would have caught Piastri to fight him on his own if they swapped shortly after pitting.

I like this rise from McLaren though. I've been a Lando guy the last couple years and it's hard to dislike the drivers or the team. There's nothing dirty about them.

I am not a big Lando fan. He comes across fake to me. They are ending the season like Red bull ended a few years ago, then dominated the next season. So I am going to assume MC might dominate next year.

I think the reality of this is the exact opposite. There's a reason basically every driver was pumped and congratulated him on his first win a few weekends back. He might be a realest driver on the grid, at least how I see it.

Hey Checo made it out of Q1 this week!

Got lucky he made it out of Q2. RB is hard to root for these days. Their strategy has been so bad lately. Reminds me of Ferrari a few years ago. Danny Ric could have beat Perez had they not ran him with 6 minutes or so left

Max wins pole but will take 10 spot drop.

LeClerc will start on Pole, Checo 2nd.
