I have made it very clear over the last couple weeks I think it is time to move on from Rhoads. I have also made it very clear I think he has faced an uphill battle that makes his tenure unique from that of his predecessors.
While CPR has an uphill battle he contributed to it by making Mess the OC and he may not have time to recover from that mistake.

That's absolutely true, and I'm not saying it isn't. Rhoads made a few huge mistakes as head coach.

1. Trying to run an offense based on speed and agility.
2. Hiring Mess
3. Hiring Klenakis

Had he not made those mistakes, it's possible he'd be in excellent shape right now. The reason I'm ready to break from Rhoads is because he's lost a good portion of the fanbase. If he would have been able to keep the fanbase through this season and not let struggles effect recruiting I'd be all for giving him more time.

Six years is enough time to exceed 24 ppg average over the period. It just did not happen on his watch. What was his biggest blowout win by point differential?

Dude, they stopped paying attention to any and all facts and reasons for the way things are a long time ago. But if you don't hate Paul Rhoads, and want him dead, then you are an apologist.

If you don't see the reality of Iowa State football and the history that has led to this point, then you are a rainbow pumper.

The dumbest part is that nothing will change, and we will be here again in 5 years with all of these "reasonable" expectations that won't be met again.

Be interesting to see who JP can get
Well considering 3 of his 4 hires haven't done so well....I don't think "interesting" is the word I would use.

Regardless what the angry say, this was an interesting post. My take is ISU is no worse then we have always been. Doesn't make it okay, but says we are not worse.

You are OUT OF YOUR MIND if you think a 2 win season is in any way shape or form close to an 8 win season. Who the f*** are you people that are justifying this crap? I know Iowa State football has almost no history of success, so why do you insist on bringing back the same garbage coaches, same garbage systems that have led to such awful results?

Fun Fact = our biggest win was by a single TD and our biggest lead this year was by two TDs.

6 of those garbage coaches have only been here for 9 games, and the 7th assistant changed position. This is essentially a whole new staff other than the 2 Burnhams and Rhoads. And Mark Mangino has just instilled his garbage system this year.

Wow, there is a lot of grumpy people on here. I would like to have more success on the football field just as much as the next guy but on the other hand I don't really derive my self worth from a game played by 18-22 year olds.

Just to again clarify- I am in no way proud of our 2 wins or am accepting a 2 win season. I just think it's interesting on how ISU's strength of schedule has changed over the years, and like I said before at least the 8 win team could beat the bad teams. Plus if ISU would have lost to all of those teams they would each have had 1 more win. I am not revising history or apologizing for this teams results. I am only stating facts and you can take what you want out of it. I like Paul Rhoads but I know he can't survive on 2-3 win seasons.

No one is satisfied with just the 2 wins that we have. The team is beaten up both physically and mentally. And it does not help the team to have a bunch of irate fans pile on and beat them up even more on the mental side of things. i.e. The irate negative fans are hurting our program.......whether they want to admit it or not.

There is an old saying. "If you do not have anything good to say about something, don't say anything at all." I suggest that some of our so called "fans" take that advice.
