Iowa is the 10th most important game of the year.
Cause a true freshman is gonna lead us to the promise land?
They have a walk-on from the state of Illinois coming in, so that’s at least another body.
Nope. I live in predominantly Hawk territory and I refuse to ever believe this. I do think it can be situational depending on the year, i.e. are we competing for the conference championship, but 9 years out of 10, I'd say Iowa is in the top 3 of important games
I'd rather beat KState every year in every sport because of how similar our schools are. Not because I hate them like TX, Baylor, or OU who I'd also take over Iowa.
That's before even getting to Okie State or WV.
Exactly. Kansas State is in our conference and actually wins conference championships. They need to become the primary enemy and what we strive to do.
In most of my lifetime KState football is basically Hawkeye football success wise with the same amount of money as us, and they're in our conference.
With their staff now, I don't see that changing.

No. Didn't really think 6-6 was considered the promised land. I guess you're higher on Dekkers than I am.
Right now, I’m higher on Dekkers than anyone else in the room.
Unfortunately being higher on Dekkers probably won’t matter.
I’m a known optimist but I have high expectations for Rocco and JJ and think either can do a decent enough job to get us to 5 wins and with a little luck maybe get us to 6-7 wins. Now that’s obviously a little worse than most of us want, but it’s going to be what it’s going to be. Gotta trust our recruiting of Rocco and JJ as both were solid recruits, JJ obviously being a stud recruit.
Matt’s had previous success with young/green QBs. We’re just going to need to excel in areas around that position, particularly OL in order to have any success.
