I heard a podcast that theorizes that the reason the Knight King has come south is because Sam and Gilly took Little Sam south of The Wall, and he wants what is his.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but I did think it was interesting.
I was always under the impression they just marched because they're bloodthirsty miserable evil wretches.

This thumbnail tells me Jon is going to ride Rhaegal...

I totally agree, but he's not going to get much use out of Longclaw on a dragon. Maybe he lets Jorah weild it for the battle? Seems unlikely, but a waste of Valeryan steel given the enemy if not.

I would bet for the battle, Jon is on the ground commanding the troops. Daenerys will be on the dragon. We already saw earlier that the dragons will fight independently when Daenerys went beyond the wall to save the small expedition to capture a white walker.

I would bet that early on, Jon and Daenerys will take a joy ride on the dragons when they learn of their heritage.

A lot of people believe the trailer showed Jorah with Heartsbane, Samwell Tarly's sword. Samwell isn't going to be on the battlefield. Might as well hand off his sword to somehow who will be out there.

Article I read yesterday from a journalist that was on location. Made a comment to Tarly about how bad-ass he looked in a battle scene. They went back to re-shoot as they did now wan't Tarly to look bad-ass, they want his character to be confused etc.

A lot of speculation that this is the Golden Company sailing under Euron's fleet.

Is there even a doubt? They are all gold and Cersei said he is bringing the Golden Company over from Essos. What would be interesting is if Euron just brought them in, whiped Cercei out and took over. Wouldn't be as satisfying of an end for her but would be in his character.

Or Daario brings the Second Sons over to whip their butts.

I wonder, how big is Daenerys army? How many unsullied and Dokrathi does she have in her army? Is there a number out there?

Being less than 3 months away, I decided to start the ol' re-watch fest. I'm amazed that I still keep picking up little things I missed. The amount of characters and intertwined stories is so well done.

I am doing the same, just started season 5 last night. I am understanding the interactions so much better now. The first time I watched I got really bored during those long dialogue scenes and ended up looking at my phone. This time I am picking up all that important info.

I don't like Euron. I hope his ship hits a rock in the first episode and sinks.

I did my rewatch back in January with my wife. She’s seen episodes here and there, especially the last two seasons, but this was the first time she saw it beginning to current.

Well the witch's prophecy says Cercei dies at the hands of her younger brother, but I guess they left that out of the show so they could go in a different direction.
