I like Montgomery's bio, any thoughts on Fran Fraschilla? He is always positive about Iowa State and Hilton Magic every time he visits.

Same here, this has been my guy. Say you can keep Grayer, Nurse and Otz you would have three pretty good recruiters and Nurse would be a great in-game coach on the bench.

You expect a guy coming from another school to not want his own assistants? Very doubtful he takes all 3.

john walters mentioned him in his interview on kxno with chris a couple of minutes ago. Fran is my #2, I think he could do very well here.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but what's the point of the "minority candidate" thing he has going on? I don't see how that affects their ability as coaches or the likelyhood that they would come to ISU in any way at all.

Billy should never be higher than #2 on any list. Because if we are willing to take that drunken loser then Larry needs to be listed as #1. Neither is going to happen anyway.

yep, when i heard Walters mention his name, I was instantly intrigued.

I'm going off of distant memories, but I seem to recall that Fran had some similar player relation problems as GM when he was a head coach. My memories may be inaccurate, but there is a reason he isn't coaching anymore.

i think hes just stating that because you have to have a certain number of minority candidates interviewed? i might be wrong
