Sure he should have some responsibility, but have been around college programs? I got news for you, the difference here and at Iowa is state law, and the fact that they were dumb enough to not realize how good the apps are, and how tightly the services monitor and report. So you can't hold the guy in charge responsible for so many of the players he recruited and mentored not following obvious and strict rules?
I mean, $4 million dollars. Per year. Over several years. To one guy.
What happened to 5 star culture?
There are student athletes here and everywhere else doing PEDs, drinking underage, illegally smoking and possessing weed, skipping class, cheating in school, all kinds of things that are against team, university or NCAA rules. It’s dumb they did it, and the program and athletic department could’ve done a better job hammering the detection/reporting requirements of the apps. But considering we’re in a state that celebrates how great a guy the other teams coach is when he tried to cover up a sexual assault, I’m just not going to freak out about Campbell, and I am fine with giving him a long leash.
