Kid (ISU Soph) is just winning this week. Intramural champs and now secured a paid summer internship.
At a restaurant and this older ladies phone starts going off. Well everyone now knows who it is and she has our attention, but you know what, it will stop at some time is her philosophy.
Had a sad realization today. Went with my wife to see her mom at the care center. She doesn’t talk much so I quite often go visit with another elderly gentleman who went to our church.
Near the end, we were in the dining area and a worker was setting up the tables. She asked what I was with this gentlemen, I paused a bit and said I guess you would say friend. It was apparent then that only family goes to visit at care centers. I guess I knew this but you push it to back of your mind. I’ve always chatted for a few minutes with anyone who comes by me but remembered that I should try to make a few more trips just to break up their monotony.

I think the only way around this is to buy him an engagement ring first and propose to him.
Unfortunately I will be out of town Easter weekend. Otherwise I could come by and hillbilly up your neighborhood and scare the guy away.
Hire some young kid that she doesn't know and tell him to be there when they show up. Have him propose immediately and get mad at him, yell your dowery is weak. I expect much better pay for some guy to marry my daughter, now get out of here until you can offer me more. Have him run away and then turn to them and pretend like nothing has happened.
