Not sure what time it is, but as far as I know he is still having one. It will be interesting to see what questions are asked. I feel like the fans and media have had a few days to cool down since the Bulls official announcement and may not be as hostile as previously thought. I think Fred already saved some face by addressing the media before he got on the jet to Chicago, as well as praising ISU during the first 5 minutes of his introductory press conference for the Bulls. Makes it hard to be mad at the guy.

Most fans and all the media were never mad at him.

Mad might not be the correct word, but if you look back at some of the Hoiberg threads pre-Bulls announcement, there were several posters here that wanted the media to ask him the "tough" questions (i.e. About the interviews with the Pelicans and Magic, what he said to Diallo, etc). Not saying I'm in that camp at all, but I am interested to see what the local media will ask him tomorrow.

What kind of questions are they supposed to ask? Fred why would you go to a job that pays more money? Is the top of the business that you're in?how does it feel to let cyclone fans down? Aren't you supposed to do with the fans want not what is best for your family? I mean almost all the Posters on cycle fanatic would never take a pay raise or promotion to better off their family or themselves. I can't believe you would leave I will stay where everybody loves you. Nobody else has ever want to hear or will ever ever be able to win here.

What are we going to do when Fred's successor is successful too.?
There is no one posted on Cyclone Fanatic that would not do the same exact thing Fred did.

Wouldn't there be specifics about said press conference by now, if it was going to happen?

I'm guessing most of the questions will be of the "Fred, remember when you beat UNC to go to the sweet sixteen? That was awesome" variety.

Yep. I could see a lot of discussion about his favorite games or something.

One question I really want answered is, even though they're buds, how the Bulls' mess as an organization was such a draw, aside from the money.

I'd also like more information on what was going on behind the scenes from last year's ISU team--something wasn't right--but that's not exactly relevant to the NBA topic.

A press conference seems.... awkward. How often does that happen after a move?

Honestly think itd just be better for everyone to move on.

Agreed. If he wanted to say goodbye to his former players he needed to do so before he left for Chicago.

How many times have you left a job and come back a few days later and addressed your subordinates? It's over, it's done, time to move on.

Coach Fred is the Mayor. He is always welcome at ISU. Always.
