If it wasn't a weeknight, I would start of drinking game for every time Fred is mentioned or shown on TV

Fred returning to Hilton was inevitable. It had to occur at some point. He is such a big part of our basketball history. In my opinion, Fred returning at this point in time with Monte and hopefully Georges is perfect. It feels like the program is on the cusp of another step change and this season could be looked back on as the start of another successful run. It reminds me of when Fred brought Johnny back for the Michigan game. Fred passed the torch to CSP, and hopefully this helps settle the seemingly endless Fred/CSP debate.

Yes he is! He literally wins every single trade.

You’re right. He won one big one with getting their big 3 to win a ring, but they fell hard after that, and had to start over.

Trading with the nets to get draft picks was his big win.

Fans should hate GarPax more than any coach they've had recently. The moves they made while Hoiberg was coach were awful. Hoiberg had no control over the players on the roster. He was a $25M dead man walking.

Somewhere Tim Floyd smiled when you wrote this.

I was shocked to see the winner of DPOTD (Dumb Post of the Day) be the 3rd in thread. Good job. You did it. You're a winner.

Loved Fred as a player. Loved him as a coach. Was disappointed when he left, but I didn't suddenly hate him (I could understand his reasons).

Liked the Prohm hire, and really like him now. I think it's great to see coach and ISU embrace our history and invite Fred back. I see no downside to the visit, and wish I could attend.

I would guess the majority of ISU fans have a similar stance.
