Bc it is such a ridiculous statement that nothing else needs to be said.

That's because I'm not wrong. Naz is a great energy guy but he is completely out of his comfort zone this year. Burton gets LOST on defense a lot or he overplays the ball. A few steals and a blocked shot doesn't wash out a bunch of lazy defensive possessions or his inability to box somebody out. Go on! Tell me where i'm off base!

I don't know who is more right in the above argument, but it seems as if an inconsistent Burton is still our best choice on both ends considering the options in the front court off the bench.

I didn't say that. But where are the juniors and sophomores on this team.
They didn't want to stick around with prohm. Our 7'-1" greek center would be a junior this year. Hallice Cooke, a very promising player transferred last year. Didnt babb commit while Hoiberg was still the coach? so there is 3. plus 4 senior player for hoiberg. Thats 7 players for 13 scholarship positions.and prohm has 2 years?

nick noskwiak had some issues and obviously didn't make it here.

Then explain why you disagree! Don't just slap some ish like that out there and take the easy way out.

Deonte is the only guy that can create his own shot late in the shot clock without a ball screen. In my opinion he is very underrated on defense as well. We don't win the KSU without a couple of key individual efforts by Deonte on the defensive end.

Deonte's job in many of the games has been to front the post. Ask any big guy but that is a ton of work. As the ball swings side to side you have to work your ass off to not get pinned. When you front the post you need back side help and on multiple occasions it is coming late which leads to easy layups. Fronting the post also leads to a rebounding disadvantage when a perimeter shot is taken.

You can crush Burton for unforced turnovers but it is amazing that you would crush him for his defense. This is a coaching philosophy choice and I'm not surprised that you would rather rail on Deonte rather that question Prohm about why we are employing that tactic.

Hallice Cooke wouldn't be playing for this team.

Mid majors make the NCAA tourney only by winning the conference tournament, not by being the best team. Murray st was 1st in their division all 4 of Prohm's years. They just faltered in the tourney, which is a crap shoot.

Using making the tourney as the bar for a mid-major is a really bad way to judge a coach or team.
Freds teams never faltered! Lol.
And Burton has had his moments as well as Naz and Morris. The only consistent player might be Thomas. So it looks like there is plenty of room to lay blame. It takes more than one player on a basketball team. Good or bad. Burton as well as Morris, Naz and Thomas are our only hopes for success.
And Halide and the Greek were not good enough.

and? he asked where they were. they left. Cooke had a ton of potential and then got hurt and went through a coaching change.

None of that mattered. With his heart condition he wouldn't have been able to play even if he stayed.
