sketchy win.. as long as CB continues to go STRONG to the hoop instead of fadding away.. and if we stop DG from dribbling so DANG much. then we will be okay.

Hamilton did some good things, but I wish he could grasp the ball with more authority, on loose balls and rebounds.

I do agree with this. And there are times I think he would be better off being more aggressive and dunking it.

1. Despite Colvin's out-of-control moments, I've been impressed over the last two games; if he keeps it up, I would like to see him rewarded with a start this season, just to send the signal that effort is rewarded. He had 5 assists tonight!

2. Holy Crap, we had 49 rebounds....49 Rebounds!!! and (3) players with double-digit ribbies ?#?@ I don't get Colorado, they are willing to give up ribbies and focus on getting Turnovers - we had 21 turnovers. However, I do like Bzel's style of coaching - especially the energy on offense.

3. Hamilton should be rewarded with more 2nd-half minutes - and he's been getting it in the last few games.

4. See what happens when you hit 75% Free Throws in a tight game (21-28). Subtle hint to L Dendy.

5. What's the deal wiht Gilstrap tonight ? Not the same as the last three games. Scotty too - didn't score from the field - weird.

6. Baylor beat UT in Austin tonight - not looking forward to Wed night in Wacko Waco.

Colvin needs to continue to get more minutes. He's the closest thing we've had to Tinsley since Tinsley left. His overall game isn't as good as Tinsley's or Blalock's yet but I think he can get to Blalock's level. I was glad to see him stay in the game late.

Gilstrap has been a turnover machine lately Today he had 7 of them. Still had 13 rebounds though. ISU shot 1-12 on their threes today. On the bright side, ISU shot better from the FT line (75%) than Colorado did (71%).

Hamilton kept us alive in the first half. Brackins could become a better post player by watching Hamilton operate. Brackins missed every shot in which he faded away. He was much more successful when he started leaning toward the basket.

Re: Official ISU/CU Postgame Thread.

And a few more things....

Ham was awesome.

Brackins had his coming out party agains the CU midget patrol.

Chris Colvin IS our best point guard and needs to be off the bench before SC. This isn't a knock on Scotty, it's just that Colvin is that good.

Agree 100% on Colvin. He has better vision than Garrett.

Go2guy- Scotty has been sick, might have been one of the reasons for his less than stellar shooting. Agree on Colvin.

Brackins plays his best game of the year, yet we barely beat the one of the worst teams in the Big 12 by one point on a missed layup by them at the end? I am concerned that was our last win of the season.

Please prove me wrong Greg.

In the first half going into a timeout, it looked like Mac wanted to fight Dendy. It was very awkward looking.

It was shortly after Dendy dropped a pass and resulted in a turnover. I don't know if that's what caused it or not. It seemed a little inappropriate for just a dropped pass.

Right before that timeout Dendy didn't get a great boxout, partially because he got shielded off by combo of Hamilton/Brackins. His guy then tipped the ball or something. Mac went nuts on him, that is why I replayed and saw the partial boxout. I thought Mac was putting on a show...he must read CF. I'd like to see him do that to DG for being a point guard that doesn't create. It was funny, after CC came in and started creating then all of a sudden DG tries the same stuff. He just doesn't have a knack for it.

I think it had to have something to do with defense or rebounding on the next possession, or maybe he said something. Wow Mac was mad, right in his face, thought he wanted to fight him.

How many years in a row have we had posts that they were afraid we've seen our last win of the year? How many years in a row have they been wrong?

Not a good game. Not even close to a good game. I just have a hunch that we aren't going to continue to turn the ball over at the same clip as we did tonight.

We came into the game 2nd in the nation in 3 point % and we were 1/12. We were -17 in turnovers. Those aren't trends that are likely to continue.

If we could stop the TOs, this is exactly the kind of game we've been crying out for. Not just a rebounding advantage, but a dominant one. Verrrry solid night at the free throw line.

I was doing some math up there in the rafters. If we turn half of those TOs into points, we win this going away, by 20+.

I'm confused as to how the TOs picked up when the other two improved.

I am concerned that was our last win of the season.

We will probably beat Nebraska at home, possibly a win in Boulder (if ISU doesn't spot them a 15-point lead right off the bat) and perhaps a win vs. A&M at home.

All the other games are iffy. Probably looking at some near-misses at Baylor, at home vs Mizzou and OSU. But they're likely to be losses.

I'm sure glad Brackins, Colvin and Hamilton showed up to play tonight. Still not sure how our coaches do not let Colvin get 30 to 35 minutes a game. Colvin can create easy baskets for everyone around him and he just puts way more pressure on the opposing teams defense. He does make some mistakes but he is still a freshman and needs a chance to work thru his mistakes. Big Ham keeps improving with more experience which is nice to see.

PS; anybody surprised at that 63-46 win by Neb over Oklahoma? Just our luck we catch a team 1-game too late.
